When to transfer Germinated seeds to Flourescent Lights

At which point should germinated seeds be put under flourescent lights?

Seeds begin to sprout and have their first 2 leaves, under humidity dome in tray. Should the trays be put under flourescent now or at another point?

Also, Should the dome be left on until seedlings just about reach the top of the dome before you completely remove the dome for good.

Thanks to anyone who is familiar with this.

Put them under lights now, and make sure to keep the fluorescents within a couple inches of the tops. Keep the dome on until they develop some real leaves.

Good luck. :hump:

but those suckers under the light as soon as you see club leafs and the first little pair of leafs. i would lose the dome and transplant but you could leave your little seedlings in there starter cups (i presume) for a few days to a week

Thanks so much for both of your prompt responses. They are in GH's rapid rooter plugs with a 7" humidity dome with adjustable vents. I moved the ones under the flourescents that are developed in the manner you both talked about. The others should be ready to be moved also shortly based on what you both told me. The 7" inch dome is still on, however it does have vents on the top that allow for temperature and moisture control.

Since the germination process is done should I now open vents on top of dome to bring humidity down to a proper vegetative % of around 60 ?

Thanks again so much for your replys
