Where better to rant than here? - Warning GF rant.

Ok,

My gf is probably the most idiotic person I have ever known. I have been with her 5 years and after about 2 this chalk and cheese difference in intelligence got REAL old. Sometimes I just daydream about being with a woman who can hold an intelligent conversation, someone who maybe shows slightly more ambition in life than watching TV. This one can barely read a children's book (no shit, she called me upstairs one night to help her with a word while reading our kid a bedtime story).

I mean based on evidence like that you would think she was borderline retarded, but she appears quite normal under most circumstances. It's just when you dig deeper you realise how utterly bland she is. Yes, we have a kid, that was concieved right around the point the ball dropped. And I love that kid and can't leave now. Bummer. Maybe when he is a bit older and can understand.

I do not use facebook, it is an evil tool of surveillance and social control, but of course the gf worships it, as these types of people do. So today she decides to announce on it that she is deleting everyone off it that she didn't talk to. Smooth eh? Great networking that is. Just make sure that 95% of people know you don't value them as people at all. Managed to provoke a few defensive comments from the neighbours and draw my mother into an argument with one of them.

Why me?


I'm just going to add, I do not expect any sympathy here. I do expect some trolling, maybe a few nice replies and some advice. This was merely me offloading my thougts, it makes me feel a bit better when things get frustrating.

I just wonder why you would want to share that info, because she seems to be smarter than you. She has you wrapped up, especially with the kid. You sound like you are in for child and woman support for a long time to come. Sorry, but you made the bed, and she now has her illiterate ass spread right across it. Oh well.

Child support? Yes if I do leave some time I will actually want to support my child.. are you one of those dudes who would just split if a relationship went wrong? Woman support? No such thing unless there is marriage involved.

Don't need holier than thou comments from a bunch of virgins btw. If you meet Mrs right within the first 10 attempts you are in the extreme minority. Not like I will be the first or last guy to realise his GF is not on his level.

Make the best of it you can, Buddy. You married her, you got her preggers and hatched a baby together. No matter how you look at it she's gonna be in your life for a good (or bad) 20+ years. Possibly more.

The thing to note here is I said "sometimes" I wish I was with a smarter woman. Things aren't all bad, I get pussy when I need it, she's not a nag, she respects my desire to grow and smoke herb. So she is pretty down to earth and reasonable. She does her thing, I do mine, I'm sure there is a lot of dudes out there with kids who would relish my situation. But yeah, I wish I had someone I connected to a lot more.

Dude she dont sound that bad to me. She respects your way of life and doesnt nag you. The grass is always greener on the other side, but is greener where you water it. If you feel like you need an equal in intelligence, join a book club all the best
