Where in your grow box do you take the temp?

I have a thermostat/hygrometer that measures with a probe and the actual meter. Am I supossed to be reading the tempature of the room say at the floor level or right by the plant. Mind you my plants are in 3 gallon bucket and are just begging veg.

I do it about 2' from the plant, about the level of the middle of the plant, never the floor (always cooler on the floor - cool air sinks).

Id say at the top of the plant and at the floor, too see how close they are. If the top of the plant is like 80F and the floor is 50F then youve got a problem. You can sort of get an average like that. OR just take the temp in the middle.
