It allways crack me up when 2 sources says to widly different things!

These two charts shows at wich PH different nutriants can be absorbed by the pland (look at hydro) yet they show widly different values.

Also the second pic recommends an idal PH of 5,8 while the first sugest 6.0.

Well, which chart would you use?

the pH thing has been going back-n-forth for a while....in a older thread someone advocated 5.2 as a starting point, then the consensus was 5.8-ish...now someone has made a convincing argument to start at 5.2 ish and work up through the low 6's ....

I've always stayed between 5.7-5.7 to the low 6's...but have been adding Cal-Mag...

my latest thoughts/experiments are I'd reason that starting in the lower 5's and working a natural progression through the low 6's, probably works pretty good; watching Calcium/mg through the thing and using RO as a base....

...if you are using tap, then all bets are off as that's another variable worth considering (my tap is high pH/Ca/TDS out the spicket)

...this might be one of those things where opinions will vary and everyone will be telling multiple truths and still be right

I watch my plants and adjust accordingly within reason. Im only on my 12th hydro grow but have kept really good records and honestly my first grow was all over the place re PH. It actually was one of my best grows to date lol. My PH was dipping to the 5 range and up to the 7.5 range lol. I now run 5.8ish in veg and 6.0 - 6.5 in flower. Not sure if I'm doing it right but I watch the tip of the leaves snd when the tips curl under I lower the levels. One of the bud boosters I use wants the PH to never fall below 6.5!!

I start mine at5.3 and let it rise to around 5.7 during veg. Then during flower,I start at 5.5 and let it run up to around 6.
Not saying that's the way it should, or that it's the correct way. Just that after many different combinations that has worked best for me. I run a F&D system.
