which lights should i get?

i'm a firstt timer and i have a small setup, about 2' x 1.5' x 3' tall metal cabinet. i currently have 6 plants grown under cfl's from bagseed so hopefully i'll get 3-4 fems total. and here's the thing: i'm starting flowering in a couple days and i need to get some more lights, but i dont know if i should get a 70 watt hps security light and rig it up to my needs with 2-3 42 watt cfl's for the lower limbs, or if i should just keep it all cfl and go for about 6 42 watters. either way i'll be mixing in some of my current 23 watt blues. what do you guys think? i'd really really love to just get a 250 hps and be done with it but unfortunately i dont have the funds right now and this is all i can afford. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was in your perdicament this time last year... not quite the same, but a similar situation... personally, i think you're gonna be really upset if you just use CFL's trying to flower out 3-4 plants... and 3-4 plants is gonna be really crowded in that metal cabinet. I'd definately get the HPS, and i hope you have some good circulation cause it's gonna get hot, and plants generally like a lot of air circulation. You may have to get yourself down to 2-3 plants if you want good sized bud for what little light you're going to have... cause 4 stringy budded plants are only gonna make you really disappointed after a few months of growing. if you are smart you will get a ballast that will let you use metal halide and hps bulbs
