Which one of these fans?

You probably recognise me on the forums for asking all sorts of questions now but I enjoy getting all your opinions.
Recently just bought a ram 4 inch mixed flow fan 2 speed settings, 165 cmf low setting and 199 cfm high setting. Opened it up, installed it. Thing sounded like a fucking jet engine even on the low speed setting, sent that bullshit joke of a fan straight back. I previously had just a cheap swiftair 100cfm inline fan and its fairly quiet and never leaked any smells for my old 3x2x6 setup but just isn't quite powerful enough for the 3x3 setup.
So doing some research as I need one that's quiet, and good quality, So thought fuck it, buy cheap buy twice and about to pull the trigger on buying one of the AC INFINITY - cloudline fans
So I have a 3x3x6.5 area and trying to think which one of these should I buy the 4 inch or the 6 inch.
4 inch fan :
6 inch fan:
and do you know if there is any different with the T6 and S6 range in the fans other than the controllers? as I don't care too much for the fancy controller as Ill have it running 24/7 regardless as smell control is priority. as long as I got the speed setting/control im happy.

I just bought 3 of these without realizing that they are plastic. I haven't installed yet but I was surprised as they are the first in-line fans I've bought that weren't metal.
I'm curious how well they work vs the metal ones. I like the Vortex VTX, but I also use the Active Air ones. They aren't quiet though.

The metal fans with the squirrel cage style blade are better at pulling air through filters and long duct (they can actually create quite a bit of negative pressure). That being said, for a 3x3 the 6'' ac infinity will be fine- it will likely only need to run at 25-50% max which keeps it nice and quiet. I have one in my 3x3 with a 315 cmh and running at 25% it stays plenty cool. I always pair my fans to a filter the next size up- 6'' fans connected to 8'' filters so there is minimal drag on the fan. The temperature controlled units can be nice for maintaining perfect temp but for say my 1000w light, i find that running the fan at 3/4 power automatically achieves my ideal temperature control.

So you run a 6” ac infinity at 25% in your 3x3? That’s awesome sounds like I might make the purchase as soon as it’s in stock

I was checking out max-fan pro series, they are fibreglass reinforced plastic. Look badass but $$$.

I have the T6 and run it at about 50% - 60% unless temp or humidity is high and then will bump it up to 80% - 100% depending on how bad the temp/humidity is. They run really well and are very quiet. They do get louder once you get up to 70% and higher but mine is still quieter than the metal VivoSun fan I replaced. One thing that I really like about the T6 is that it is extremely light and you can remove the fan assembly for cleaning while leaving the mount and hoses still hooked up to the flanges.

Yup, 25% gets it done in my 3x3 but it is hooked up to a 8'' filter so the fan doesnt have to do hardly any work to pull air through the filter and there is no duct hooked up the fan just exhausts directly out the tent. Its so quiet you almost cant tell its on. I have the same fan and filter in my 5x5 but that fan has to run at about 75% to keep up with my 1000w hps.

right that's just convinced me as soon as the 6" at infinity t6 is in stock im making an order, will it be ok to use with my 4 inch carbon filter and ducting if I just buy a single 6 inch to 4 inch reducer, and use at by connecting the ducting 4inch ducting to the exhaust fan I think my current carbon filter goes up to 173cfm.

I would get a bigger filter. The bigger the better. Less restriction = lower fan speed for the same air movement. I like my 8'' ac infinity filters hooked up to my 6'' fans.
