I recently did a run of chameleon extracts forbidden fruit , in my dwc using jacks 321 . 100% sterile , and the flower turned out excellent . The flower has been curing for about 2.5 weeks , and progressively has gotten tastier and tastier ,

About 6 days ago , I chopped some of the same clones , only these were grown outdoors in pro mix , with Bigfoot myco , and Nectar of the gods 4 part “simple” nutrient table . Now I know that it’s not 100% organic ,but fairly close . In any event . The 6 day old small bud I tested off the bottom of a branch , tasted so much better , and what I believe is an equally strong , longer lasting high and actually smoother “which makes no sense as it hasn’t had time to cure in a jar “ so chlorophyll has to be present I’d assume . It was a very very dry flower though

I’m curious if anyone else has ever experimented with outdoor vs indoor with identical genetics ?
I’m wondering if feeding with the same nutrients would affect the taste or if it’s a product of the massively diverse amount of micro organisms that are present in the soil , that are making the outdoor taste better . I could run equal clones indoor and outdoor next season and feed them both jacks ?

Here are two pictures , one of the flower grown in soil in my back yard , the other grown hydroponically in my tent , in dwc with jacks 321 . The indoor is much lighter colored , lighter purple and very dense - the outdoor is fairly dense , so dark purple it almost black .

I think sun grown in soil generally tastes better, a lot of variables here, than most hydro. I think indoor grown in soil usually tastes better than hydro as well.

Different nutrients- different results
See this is where I find an issue with the general consensus . For the record I totally believe nutrients do play a huge part in terpene profile , and content. The general consensus is that it’s 90+% genetics , and the majority of the last 10% is environment , nobody ever really touches on the nutrient sides of things .now using products like rock resinator , and terpinator do seem to give my grows a stronger nose , and the rock resinator absolutely produces disgusting amounts of trichomes as well . Honestly it’s the equivalent of supplementing uvB with high co2 vs not ..

I’ve ran rock resinator side by side on identical cuts , with identical situations .

Now here’s the thing , last year I had 100 greasy runtz mothers”exotic genetics “ ,with no nearby water supply . They were all in 10 gallon fabric pots with soil . I fed them jacks 321 as well mixed up in a 250 gallon cubed reservoir , and the flavor was excellent . No rock resinator , or terpinator added , because frankly I couldn’t afford to use it on 100 plants .

I did add myco to the mix though and I’m wondering if they play a part in flavor .

Unfortunately my current indoor grow I can’t test with , because I have 8 different phenotypes in my buckets .

Bag appeal is absolutely important , but nose/ terp profile is equally as important in the retail market here .

I wish I could run the nectar of the gods in my dwc . I guarantee the results would be astounding , but I’m not interested in scrubbing buckets every 3-4 days ..
