White Flakes?

My plants are bearing harvest and attacks seem to be increasing from various insects. Is this related to the fragrance the plants emit? These white flakes appeared when I returned. I sprayed and they disappeared but returned this morning. Any clue so that I may treat appropriately?

Is this an Outdoor grow? Honestly it looks to be bug or worm poop and removing them by spraying and It showing up very next morning supports that. But it is hard to give a good diagnoses off a picture. It also looks like you might have some bud damage just to the left of the white spots? See if you can dig around and find a worm or any other type of pest around there. Do you see any little black dots that can be removed with a finger nail? Now it does appear you are pretty close to harvest so spraying might be out of the question at this point. They do sell sprays such as Nukem That you can spray up to harvest but me being me I am not a fan of doing that. On the bright side its not mold/fungus or anything like that. What could you spray on them without even knowing what the problem is? Very bad idea.

Thanks for the replies. I sprayed water on them which has been my primary first line of defense. I used Bug blaster a few days ago but that has been the only safe pesticide used I am trying for a pesticide free harvest . This is an alcove on my patio that has a dirt floor so I converted it to a grow room hence the HPS lights. The white flakes appeared again this morning only on the one bud so I harvested it and will have some look for the critter there was more on the under leaf. I don't know how to PM but would like to please send me a message so I will know how to reply thanks. I will probably harvest this week since the crystals are clear and I found a few Amber ones.
