I'm getting some white Russian seeds
What are some characteristics of the strain?
is it tall, short or medium?
potency?
yield under cfl's with no nutes and about one month veg?
 
Why would you not give it nutes? Thats like working out and not eating anything with protein in it, if your worried about money its not that expensive to find a cow pasture and fill up a 5 gallon bucket with cow shit.

That should pretty much tell you everything. The yield will most likely be lower because of the cfls. I've never had it, but both ak-47 and white widow are amazing, so I'm sure white russian is as well.

im not using nutes because this will technically be my first grow and i want to keep it simple. with more experience i will add more difficulty
 
It will be more difficult to grow without nutes so your logic is very flawed, just get some miracle grow organic fert (which is basicly composted chicken shit) and some Bone meal. Mix in a quarter cup of the chicken shit with your dirt and countinue putting a quarter cup of it around the plant every two weeks and til it in the top half inch of soil. If your only vegging for a month you will only have to make one application of the chicken shit after initial application. On that 4th week when you cut the light back apply a quarter cup of bonemeal and til it in, and do this every two weeks for 6 weeks then just let the plant go until harvest.
 
i might veg a little longer I'm just restricted on height
i got some miracle grow plant food 24-8-16

Do not take this as an insult, but sounds to me like you need to do more research. There are plenty of grow faq's on this site, and the internet is loaded with growing knowledge. You do not want to invest 3 months of work to grow a 1/4 oz of weed. Lights, Nutes, Temps, are very important in cannabis cultivation!! Cfl's can grow decent weed, but they will do an even better job if you know how to use them properly. The bottom line, plants need food:!::!::!:

well i did alot of research
i know i have alot to learn but i know the basics
and im getting a 150w hps to add to the cfl's
i guess if you say they absolutly need nutes
then i guess i absolutly need to get them huh?
i asked for advice not for someone to tell me im noob
cuase i know that
you cou;ld of been nicer
