White widow & The church 300W CFL 2010 MED

Good to be making another thread.

New seeds, new thread, new plants, new chronic!

Here I currently have two church seedlings which are 3 days old now. I also have my white widow seed currently still germinating.

I originally made this box for a clone but decided to make it into a mini grow room.

Its made with wooden 2X1 framing and surrounded with white reflective sheeting.

It consists of a 300w CFL, carbon filter and I also am using a kettle in there for maximum humidity which kicks ass.

Perlite compost mix with canna nutes. PH 5.5-6.5

ok nice man loving the clf,and how big do you think they will get and do you think i could have 3 under 500w cfl or 2 plants under 400w cfl?

The box itself is 1m X 70cm, so I do have good growth length and space, but bare in mind i have the light and carbon filter which take up about (20cm) and the plant pots take up (20cm) which leaves me with 60cm of growth space.

Im hoping to achieve the plants to be around 24" which is around 60cm. If you actually look at that length on a tape measure or w/e the length is a pretty good size to achieve atleast 2 oZ each plant.

Well i am doing 3 under a 300w, so the maximum under a 300w is like 4 plants to achieve good yield.

I have almost the same setup.

1x 300 Watt CFL (Not equivalent, actually 300 Watts, like yours, damn it's huge!)
1x 80 Watt CFL (Again, not equivalent, actually 80 Watts)


So, that's 380 Watts.

1x Home made carbon filter

1x 3 Gallon Pot - Multi-purpose soil
1x Autoflower - SnowRyder (Dope-Seeds)

Was thinking about getting some LED panels for the sides, what do you think?

It sure is a fat ass bulb. I dont know alot about LED'S but i did some research and i wouldnt really myself chuck them in there but if your growing an autoflower then i guess the plant itself would like it and you clearly have the space.

I noticed alot of people debating over light time and majority of people who used LED'S said that theyre output and spectrums arent really worth the hassle as there is red and blue but people use white to balance it out. I mean the power and output is only a fraction compared to HPS/MS.

Yea id stick with ur cfl's until you have enough money and room to use a small hps.
Alot of people that have grown with cfl's tend to stick with them because they are cheap,simple and with the right tlc you can still produce a good crop.

Hey guys the plants are now a week old and doing pretty good

However the white widow seed diddnt quite germinate successfully. It seems that after the 4 days of germinating now it just wont budge.
The tail seems to still be attached to the seed, so i took a pic for you guys to take a look at it, see if you can come up with a conclusion.

Well i decided to try and sprout the seed in a humidity dome and we will see what happens..
