Why are my plants sad? (pics and info)

foxfarm ocean forest soil
8 days ago I gave them some foxfarm big bloom
4 days after that I gave them tiger bloom at quarter strength
they haven't had any water or nutes in 4 days

my plants are looking droopy and sad. Right now its just the lower leaves that are drooping, and they feel kinda crunchy. it cant be overwatering because it's been a few days since they've had anything. there's also some random yellowing. one plant has yellow spots on two leaves. on another plant the tips of the leaves are turning yellow (this started at the top of the plant and has been working it's way down).

i'm not going to do anything to them until i get some feedback. so far i'm thinking maybe it's a ph problem, because that's something i haven't checked at all. do you guys think I should give them some 5.8 water and see if that helps? should i flush?

well you said they haven't had water in 4 days, they prolly thirsty

sounds like they need water, plants tell you that they need or had too much water by drooping. telling you they are not happy.
we all droop when we are not happy.lol
pics would help, it could also be lots of other things too.

you guys are probably right, they probably just need some water. i just went and checked and the soil is very dry. i've been so concerned with overwatering that i didn't even consider underwatering! i feel so stupid. i just gave them all a good amount of water so we'll see if they perk up. thanks for the quick feedback.

You should be able to tell really soon if they were underwatered. They should perk up real fast

u really need to get a pH tester as not knowing ur pH can cause all sorts of serious problems. pics needed

how long would it take for the plants to perk back after underwatering

mine seem to pick up in a matter of hours.

After I watered they perked right up in just a couple of hours. Im still having some yellowing problems though. i'm thinking it might be nute burn, because it literally looks like the leaves are burnt. does this sound right? I'll get some pics up today.

do 1 good water a week, and then water every 2 to 3 days after that.
what are your temps, also do you have a fan on the plant?.

Temps stay between 75 and 80, and drop to the low 60s when it's dark. Yes, there is a fan on the plants.

Here are the pics. The plants are looking a little bit greener today and the yellowing/browning issue seems to have stopped spreading. how are they looking otherwise? This is my first grow so i'd really appreciate any feedback!! thanks!!

looks like the top leaves are relatively healthy and the bottom ones are yellow, droopy. Doesn't really look like nute burn to me. More like deficiency maybe? I use Fox Farm stuff pretty much by the feeding schedule on their website. I'd go with much stronger than quarter strength, that's for babies. Yours looks pretty well established. Chop off the shitty looking leaves at bottom and feed more. Sounds like 4 days is a little long between watering, depends on the size of the container though. A moisture meter might not be a bad idea.

Yes all of the newer leaves are green, this problem is only effecting the older leaves. this didn't happen until after I started feeding them (when they were three weeks old).

water ph should be 6.3-6.8 just like the FFOF soil is. You really dont need any nutes through veg with that soil. For best results I would use the FF powdered nutes for flowering. I always go 6 weeks veg without nutes and grow lush green plants, just ph'd water.

Wow! I wasn't expecting to see that...

I have had a lot of problems with my sirst grow also. I just keep telling my self that it is training for the next go around. I found a site that has helped myself and several others that I have passed it along to. I hope it helps you. Your plant's look like mine when I fucked up the ph right off the bat. All Mine have pulled through and some are showing signs of improvement but all lag behind where they should be. These plants are weeds and are fairly hardy, they grow in the environment in less than perfect conditions and should live quite well in a controlled environment. There is no deficiency there, they were being starved for water. NO NEED FOR NUTES THRU VEG. WITH FFOF SOIL Been doing this for years.

thanks for the replies. they didn't get any nutes when they were vegging, I waited until they started to flower. Should I still have waited longer?

If they were starved for water they would be alot more droopy than they are...
