I have noticed a commercial for yeungling beer that comes on tv every once in a while. As far as cheap beer goes, its a pretty good one...
They constantly brag about being 180 years old and America's oldest brewery. They can operate in their little town in PA with pride and they have become a symbol of a successful American business.
How is what they do ANY different than what those on this forum are forced to do in the privacy of their homes? They even operated during prohibition apparently (ie. 180 years...) and no one has an issue with this, in fact they are proud.
However, if someone grows some green instead of brewing beer then they are seen as the most despicable pieces of shit on earth. They are compared to dealers and mexican drug cartels. Many of them grow in order to support their medical requirements, support others health, or maybe once in a while use it recreationally to relieve some stress
That yeungling commercial epitomizes the hypocritical bullshit that the US's drug laws represent. If any of the arguments used to keep marijuana illegal were used against alcohol, tobacco, or even caffeine then they would all be illegal....yet somehow alcohol, a drug that claims thousands of lives every year can be touted as a proud American tradition.
I hate it.
