Why not just raise scrog net during grow?

I understand that 2 scrog nets is kind of normal and helps support your plants near end of flower.

But, why not just raise your scrog net during the grow? It seems easier and leaves less stuff in your way during plant maintenance.

Confused... I'm starting my first scrog though

Buds get thicker after you've run them through the screen. The screen might damage the buds as you pull them through, not to mention the loss of trichomes and resins from the rough surface contact.
