temps 85 and 65
dirt, using advanced nutrients with the nute calculator
ph 6-7
jack herer strain (new to me)

these are in there 9th (last week of flower), they were nute burned around week 5, they were flushed and seemed to recover well. around week 8 some started to "crown" and a couple have grown "fingers" out the side of the bud, and yet others have sprung a shoot off the top cola's? the new shoots look like it's going back to veg? no interuptions in light cycle though any ideas what would cause this?
also is 10 weeks 70 days, or 76 , know what i mean? like should a 10 week strain take up to the 11th week or finished at the end of the 9th?

cheers

i'm not familiar with the strain but i would persoanally just nip those growths off and let the plant concentrate on the main cola.

also, those plants dont look nearly finished. they still have yet to fatten up and the white hairs will shrivle more. somebody here grows JH. i hope he sees this thread.

Your plants leaves look like their doing some curling, it could be from the temps. I'd suggest trying to get the temps to about 78-80 if u could. Also Wats the distance from the buds to the light?Get a temp reading of what it is right at top bud levels.

If you get some pics without the light(no orange glow..) on and some close ups of the leaves i'll be able to tell more.

I've grown jack herrer before and didnt ahve any new branches just shooting up during flowering lol..

Wat kind of soil are you using?is it draining well and everything??

the shock from nute burn could possible cause the plant to do soem fucked up shit. so about when did u notice these extra growths??

Did you happen to cut off any branches or do some trimming lately? My PPP is doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. Kinda freaking me out also. I think every bud had a 2-3" growth spurt.

I did cut off one of my bottom branches because it was leaning heavily and almost ripping itself off the main stem. I cut it off for a "up buzz" bud.

I notice mine do that sometimes especially at the end of flowering, it isn't normal.:wall::wall: Thats how i look when it happens:wall::wall:

It happens when I, towards the end of flowering, cut out the flower food (bye, bye to nitro npk=4-8-7) and give them a blast of pk only thinking they need just one more dose to fatten em up, i cut em off and then flush and harvest about a week later.

I had the same problem with my last batch. I was growing Romulan x Cotton Candy. I saw them coming out, but she wasn't finished budding yet. I just flushed and didn't use any more nutes. The long fingers acutally started to fill out and flowered.

If you're concerned I would say cut it off, but if not, let it run the course, you may cause more stress by taking it off.

How many plants do you have doing this?

ive read that heat stress causes the buds to stretch out, what are your temps like?

i had that exact problem too! it was just one bud that had retarded growth. it would not stop growing vertically.

id say its not too big a deal. just cut off those leaves when harvesting

anyone think it could be the strain thats causing the wierd growth?
I do!!!! Look, any strain has numerous breeders. Not all breeders are good, and not all seedbanks check that crap out either! So anytime you plant, you run the chance of having some "deforms" because of Breeder. If seeds came from seedbank I'd contact them and tell them what happen. If they are a good seedbank, I'd imagine they'd like to make it right!
