wierd clones

my clones are developing this really hard white bumpy outer stem stuff instead of roots...any one know what this is or why this is happening... im new to this so hell this might be normal...i cant find any information on this however...any help is appreciated

It's normal. Oh hello by the way. Yeah no worries, that is a mass of undifferentiated cells(also known as a callus) from that roots will form so don't keep pulling it out the soil if that's what you're using, as it may break off any new root shoots.. Hope this sets your mind at ease

thank you. and hello to you to. i am using a a homemade bubble cloner. was using a heating pad to warm water but damn thing got so hot it started to cook some of the stems like green beans. a couple are hanging on. i have the pad on it lowest setting, maybe a couple towels b/t the pad and the bottom of the cloner.
