What's up guys. A few of you may have seen my post a few days back about starting an informational website for bud. After several long days of toking and coding I finally have something to show for it: Wikiweedia.co

As you can see it's basically a resource to look up any and all information on a strain, from pictures, genetics, general description, grow notes, smoke reports, etc. In the last few days I've compiled information on over 100 strains and am adding new ones every day.

I finally secured the domain name last night and finished uploading everything this morning, so take a look and tell me what you think!

It says Hindu Kush flowering time 45-50days. I really wish that was true.

Its a very good Outline IMO, but if you went into precise detail, such as medical uses for strain, THC content, type of high, and fix up the info that is incorrect this can be a BIG site. different types of strain for diff seedbanks, so like subcategory of certain strain cause diff seedbanks have diff geno and phenotypes of same strain.

keep working :P, if your lookin to make a great site, it will take more then a couple days bro.

Haha no doubt :) I had no intention of making the site in a couple days, and I also realize any site that's to be successful has to be constantly updated.

What I have up now is, like you said, a basic outline. It's a compilation of information from the first 2 pages of googling several different keyword combinations depending on what I was looking for (eg. "acapulco gold seeds" will give you plenty of stock photos and general descriptions, whereas "acapulco gold height yield" will give you all kinds of grow specifics). Right now is version 1.0, and it is fairly bare-bones. Like I said, I've been working on this pretty heavy the last few days and wanted to get a little feedback as I go along :)

What is the correct flowering time for Hindu Kush? I'll get it fixed in 2 min.

All the other suggestions you made as far as including medical information, type of high, etc. are great too. I'm working on a table now where every page will have all of this information listed. Of course, this requires a lot more googling and a lot more coding so hopefully by the end of the day I'll have a good start to show ya.

8-9 weeks for hindu kush. so thats 60-70 days. i would just put 60+, because its 8weeks minimum if you want good quality.

and it looks like you got yourself a killer start! im looking forward to using this site when its done. you can expect to have me as a user. and btw i love the idea.

If you are googleing everything.....then its already out there right? Outline looks good..........are you going to sell stock and like have ads and things.....I want to be on ground floor.....I missed out on wal mart....had a chance to buy some stock YEARS ago and thought naw we have K mart....it will never go............or donations and get a place on the site you are incharge of of give a name like assitant to photogrpher or something.......and will you have a chat forum.......can I be a mod.................know its just been a couple of days but the growth is unlimited if you want it to be...........keep it up.

haha if it ever gets big enough to sell stock then you guys will be the first to know.

As of right now the forum is a no. I'm not trying to take away from any other sites out there (like this one). I'm trying to contribute something unique and useful.

Yes, all the information is already out there. I just get annoyed when I have to go to 3 or 4 different pages to find basic info on a strain, sometimes going to an attack site in the process. I'm sure you know the feeling if you're as big a stoner as your post count would indicate ;)

i think what we should do is give our own reviews of how the strain grew when we grow it, then you would have to take and average out all the information and modify the outline accordingly. hell we might be able to ad riu on there lol.

or it can be an addition onto RIU?

I like the idea though, there is no better information on a strain then from someone who has grew it multiple times.

On the table I'm working on now I'm including a section called "Grow Notes" in addition to all the other stuff. This could be up to a few paragraphs on how a particular grow went, with the original article reflecting the general consensus as you suggested.

Actually that would be awesome. I'm a pretty analytically-minded person so a lot of times I tend to overlook that kind of stuff. PM'd




Got a start on the updated information too with you guys suggestions in mind. The first three strains (Acapulco Gold, AK-47, and Big Bud) now have a more complete table of specifics, but as you can guess it's going to take some time to get it done for every strain. I'll be doing them in alphabetical order so they'll be getting updated as I do them.

PS: If you guys wanna help me out you can click on a couple of the ads on the home page. This site will NEVER have gaudy, video, audio, or otherwise annoying ads. I paid a little over $100 out of pocket to put this site up for a year with my own domain (money that could've gotten a quarter of whatever's in right now). There are only 4 small ads, at the bottom of the home page/ strain library, and every ad is sponsored by Google, so there will never be any threat of malicious ads. I have set up websites before, and these ads usually pay between $.50-$.75 per click, sometimes $1. Yes, Google actually sends me a check in the mail, and yes, they actually pay that much. These are highly targeted ads, so they assume that when you click on it you are actually interested in whatever it is they're advertising. All you have to do is open one or two in separate tabs, and close them down as soon as the page loads!

Seriously though, this site will always be malware-free, so if you want to let me know you like the site just open an ad or two. 'Preciate it

Did you drop the idea of giving advice to locals by city looking for a hookup?

How much have you made on ads so far?

I wouldnt connect myself to RIU if I were you. Not that RIU is bad Im saying you want ppl to come to your Site cause you are neutral and unbiased......you might loose ppl from GrassyCIty cause they dont like RIU or visa versa..........you want everyone to come to you and attaching yourself to a Growing website might not be a good idea...........stay neutral

I could always provide smoke reports lol, Im always going to the dispensary and buying something new. I tried some Mystery Machine yesterday, unsure of the genetics hence the name. It really left a bad taste in your mouth, smoke was smooth yet left a crackle in the throat. High was felt from mid chest to mouth(strange feeling) peak about 30 min (im real high tolerance). Uplifting Sativa, smiley weed.

Yes, I realized pretty quickly that strains go everywhere, and tracking everything is ridiculous. It's more as the title suggests. Simply all the information you could want about any strain in one place. Today I've made about $8.

That would be awesome. Do you happen to have a word document or something where youve saved smoke reports for all these strains? I'll look up mystery machine..

For the ads couldn't you just keep clicking them and getting paid?lolYou could probably make a thousand dollars a day sitting on your ass clicking shit for a few hours lol.
