all in the title. just wondering if Marijuana can suck up nutes from the roots and pump it straight to the buds? or does it all come from the fan leaves.
will buds continue to grow if plant has no fan leaves?

The answer is no, buds will not continue to grow if you cut off the fan leaves. In fact your plant(s) will die.
The leaves collect the sun/light rays and convert it into energy and that energy is what your plant(s) relies on to do everything it/they do. Cutting off all the fan leaves would be like unplugging a lamp or a TV and expecting it to work but worse because you could still plug the lamp or TV back in and they would work but if you cut off all your leave, or most of them, your plant(s) will die.

Let the leaves do their thing naturally... Do you see people pulling leaves off of trees in nature? They will drop when ready...

Because they do not understand their purpose and think they are shading the important buds from getting sun/light and also taking up nutrients and using energy that would otherwise go into bud development/production. They just do not understand that none of what they want to improve or think they will be improving would ever happen in the first place if it wasnt for the leaves doing their job first thus allowing the other things to happen.

It's true they do still grow. I used to be a firm believer of this years ago when I grew out doors. We use to basically strip the plant of all it's leaves when flowerin and it still grew. But then we dicided to not and by golly our yields increased. No more leave cutting for me.

the plant will not die, it will just be stunted. its not good to do but it wont kill it. just tie the leaves the way you need them

guys settle down. it was just a question. i don't trim anything but the very bottom branches that give you crap buds anyways.
i'm asking because a friend that also grows let his plant get really sick and still sent it into flowering... now 4 weeks in all the leaves have yellowed and will eventually fall off... so its going to have 4+ weeks of flowering without any fan leaves. so was wondering if his buds will still ripe'n?

i don't get crap buds off the lower branches. i get nice buds 4" to 6" long. i've had them as long as 9". it's all in Te lights and light getting to your lower branches to get nice buds. and HID is the way to go. yes his buds will. if you check out my youtube you will see in the 2nd grow that i trimmed the leaves off. and then look at the colas. they are huge. but like i said not cutting shit off this time 2 c what happens. hers a pic i just took no leaves cut and look at the lower branches how they come up almost as high as my tops. this is under one 1000wtt hps. all the buds are pretty much the same size.

I had leaf septoria so one of my girls (gsc) lost all of her leaves. I'm in week 7 of flower and she is a 10 week strain. Any advice? Should I chop her?

I see a bunch of leaves. Fans are not required, you're fine; As long as those sugars are alive and not crispy. I can't tell.
