Will buying a cooltube help ?

Well my temperatures went as high as 87 degrees, in my 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m tent

Soo i fiddled about with different setups with my fans etc and took my carbon filter off and placed the end of the ducting directly under the light ( 600w HPS ) to suck hot air straight out, and it got me down to 80.1, BUT my filter was not in place.

Now some people have said get a better fan as i am using a 175 CFM fan, But if you put your hand on the end when the filters in place, You can feel the push of air so its obvious sucking it all up easy enough.

So what i was thinking is instead of spending money on a more powerful fan, purchase a cooltube and have it setup like this.. Filter>Fan>Cool Tube>Exhaust Fan out of the tent.. Or would only 1 fan be needed ? If i setup that way both my powerful fans are taken up, So for intake at the bottom i tried out my 10" oscillating fan and it managed to blow a strong amount of air through.

Soo any ideas please are the cool tubes worth it, will it make a difference ? Because doubt il be able to take it back if it dont, The tube i was thinking about is called 'Coolshade', Like this one.. http://www.aquaculture-hydroponics.co.uk/product.aspx?productID=1487&categoryID=45&subCategoryID=383

Thanks alot guys !

Alright man i pretty much have the same tent dimensions for my 600 watt setup 4x4x7.5 ft. I'm using an air cooled hood with my 171 c.f.m inline fan minus the carbon filter. Without the fan my temps are in the 90's closed tent, with the fan on closed tent I'm usually at 76. I would honestly try it out without putting any money into another costly fan because it will work guaranteed, just the difference of having a closed reflector with glass is HUGE as long as it has some sort of decent airflow.

But if results aren't good enough for your setup then get another fan or maybe try a duct booster fan which are only about an 1/8 of the price.

Cheers for that mate, And whats the best way to set up the fans with a cool tube just 1 or 2 fans I was thinkin Fan>tube>fan but if u can do it with 1 i can use my other for intake :D

Cheers

If you have 2 fans already, here's the setup: aircool the light with one, yes, buy the cooltube. Use air for the light that comes in from outside the tent and goes out the other side without mixing with the air in the tent. Make sure there are no leaks in this ducting, lotsa tape.
Fan no.2 is hooked to the filter and removes the remaining radiant heat. Passive intakes are best, especially in that small enclosed space. With an intake and exhaust fan, they must be perfectly tuned to each other or you're just jerkin off.
This is the most efficient use of the fans by far, speaking from the experience of trying many different configurations. It allows you to use smaller fans which means less money spent.
Hope this helps,
Fred

87 is not too bad. I run my room at 88 intentionally and around 72 at night. I have no issues. Are these temps causing you problems??

Don't listen to this advice. There's no reason you need high heat. This guys running his temps ten degrees to high each way intentionally apparently. Not to bash on you stoned but that's the truth. Like he said if it isnt causing you problems then it isn't one. Your temps could be 100 and they would still grow, nowhere near as good though obviously.

Yeah a cooltube will definately help with the heat.It will be exhausting the heat from the light which is causing all the heat.
