I want to use cfl lights for my first grow but do they show up on the thermal camera that the piggies in the sky use?
Will cfl lights get me caught?

Its not illegal to grow indoors. Alot of people grow crops inside, especially in winter. Just try not to smell like a pot farm.

Lol no, you're not going to generate anywhere near enough heat to show up on FLIR. They need a search warrant to use FLIR on your property anyway.

I am growing with a 220W and 300W and I can hold the bulbs without getting burned my iPhone gets hotter than them bulbs at times. and it won't put a big spike in your electric bill that will draw any attention. Just worry about controlling the smell. And don't tell anyone even a friend.

im not sure where you live but in the united states i believe its against the law to use FLIR on your property without a warrant.. if they got a warrant your already busted just saying..

If you live in the UK though they totally do use thermal imaging stuff, I saw a documentary on grow ops in the uk and it followed the police around finding grows which they did by walking around looking for condensation on windows, thermal imaging from helis and also the sniff test. So if in the uk those are things to watch out for.

You would have to have some setup for it to show up. 25C in summer or winter shouldn't produce condensation. Most houses now have cavity wall insulation too with the governments new plans (free for every house) also you can now get solar panels fitted on your roof for free with certain energy companies so long as you sign up to a contract and those really do give of heat I know because Ive fitted them. I believe in Plan it Keep it small Keep it quiet. Only way you get caught is by your own failures. Learn the 6 Ps of life
