I have 2 foot long roots in my aero system. They are starting to go into resevoir. If I pull them up and stack them in my res, will this hurt them.

I don't think so. In fact I believe they can be trimmed I need be. I found a article on it. I will see if I can find it

Roots are growing all the time Mike, air pruning pots are good because they encourage root branching. So ya i think you'll be fine as long as it's a healthy environment for them.

Don't worry about handling your roots, treat them gently, keep em wet, you can even trim a fair amount off without shocking the plant.
Had root rot years ago removed 90% of the roots.. didn't take long to respond. Seemed to come back with a better root system than the original!!

Try a nutrient by advanced nutrient's called synziem... it turns ur old dead roots into food to feed new root growth and it helps the soil...
