Will having a card come up on a pharmaceutical Check?

Hey guys, I know it won't pop up on a background check but I am getting life insurance and want to know if it will come up when they look for what prescriptions I have. I signed a HIPPA form so they have the right to look at my medical records but I doubt they are going to ask for them and I don't have to take a medical exam since it is below 500k of coverage (getting it as a long term investment vehicle not as insurance). You guys have any experience with this?

No it shouldn't thats all different kind meds their looking for, besides you should be legal right??

Since it's a recommendation not a prescription it does not show up. The doctor's records are kept confidential. You've got nothing to worry about there.

Unless you registered in the county health database then it might/might not, depends. The insurance companies have way to much lattitude for data mining and if they paid that particular county for db access it's possible (yeah the government frequently sells our info when they can get away with it and since you have to give them sweeping record review privileges they have the right, sadly)

what assures you that it wont show up on a background check? what about a background check for a security clearance?

If you say you're not smoking, get that rate, then later on die and they find you were smoking they won't pay.

Can you site a source? An application for insurance is not a guarantee, it's a representation. Maaaaybe if you die within the 2 year review period, they could deny your death benefit, but beyond that the only alteration they can make to your death benefit is if you misrepresented your age. Even then, they just adjust for your actual age. Anyways, if they denied your death benefit, they have to return your premiums plus interest. So, in the scenario of using the policy as an investment vehicle, OP still wins.

It's not filed with any government agency. As long as you pay cash there is no record of you ever going in and getting a rec.
