i vegged some plants indoor on 24/0 for a month and put them outside to flower about 10 days ago, there doing really well and flowering nicely. right now there is 12 hours from first light to last light. but by the time they will be finished flowering it will hit 13 hours and 40 minutes. so do u guys think my plants will be fine or will i need to put a bag over them for an hour?

hard to say spring starts very soon and will likely cause your plants to reveg a lot of growers shift to 13/11 after 4 weeks because the plants are sufficiently into flower, I put mine out 4 weeks ago but I have 2 1/2 weeks till it goes over 12/12 so I'm holding my breath.

Your days are getting longer now in the southern hemispere now, so your plants are going to sense that the days are getting longer and react accordingly. I personally grow year round using lights, sun and just a dark room for the flowering girls. Doing it this way, allows me to grow and flower year round and get all the benefits of the sun without worrying about whether we are in lengthening days or not. I have tried just setting the girls outside after being in 18/6 light cycle and it worked alright. I found that by moving the plants inside at the same time each evening and keeping the light at a constant 12 or 13 hour cycle they did very well. This makes for a little more work but the results at harvest are certainly worthwhile. Good Luck with your grow.
