Will our Medical Marijuana be covered in 2014......

I am in disbelief about the proposed changes to the MMAR program and how the government has decided to remove the provisions which we have followed. Personally, I got really sick before ever being prescribed Medical Marijuana and never really used it prior. I was happy however once it helped with the symptoms although it was costly. Since then I have began getting equipment again at my own cost and moving forward though I am pissed off that the proposed changes do not help me, and feel many feel that way. I must not grow anymore. I must buy from them. At a mark-up of at least 500% for medication and my limit is to go down.
So what are these proposed changes doing for me. I know what I get and what helps will this be the case in 2014? Will you cover the cost of it as most drugs here? Or is this to get the majority back on pain medications and expensive anti-nausea medications to create revenue. It is silly that a pill that requires chemists, and testing and the side effect can sometimes be worse then the benefits could be cheaper then a plant that gets stuck in the ground. So will they cover my Medical Marijuana supply be covered?.........I will pay the co-pay

On September 30th the coalition against repeal's lawyer will be challenging these new regs. The changes are completely unconstitutional so I wouldnt' worry too much until after the legal challenge is over.
The new regs clearly violate the charter of rights and freedoms on 3 separate sections. The MMPR as it is written has very little chance of actually being implemented and if it, many of the growers will continue too and then challenge the law and the mmpr in court. The hare-brained health minister who drafted the mmpr is no longer the health minister.

Ouch, i heard it's expensive in Canada, where i live medical weed from the dispensary i go to called "Top Choice" its 25 bucks for an 8th of top shelf weed. You can get a medical card just from stubbing your toe.

Its costly by the looks there also. My script is a good example, 10g a day, sounds like a lot but actually I ingest more than double that. So even at your 24 dollar price, 4 zips a month works out to $800 a mnth. min. The way this medication works the more in your system the better it will help. I'm just one patient on a fixed income and there 30,000 others in the same boat...basically.

And this will be presented to the judge along with our impact statements.
They are also challenging the dried cannabis only so that the rest of the country is on par with BC (where its already ok to make edibles and extracts.)

Ok thanks for the response I have my production license but after just getting out of hospital I cannot afford set up but I thought it might be fun to apply for funding as it is a medical expense.........What could they say no I would be no worse off.

Also I am not really into festivals but why has no organizers reached out to protest the changes I believe that our numbers would be seen in Ottawa or even Queen's park

Don't look for any help from WCB - http://www.cannabisculture.com/content/2013/06/20/Regina-Man-Takes-Workers-Compensation-Board-Court-Over-Medical-Marijuana
Also, we are providing cannabis to people on low income, check out www.thegreencanvas.ca. We fight for your right to medicate how you want and believe WCB should know better.
SO...Is this one of the first newly regulated grow operations created for the mmpr? Sure looks like what they are wanting to provide, I would like more info but your site is pretty vague. Any more info would be appreciated by all concerned. Thanks.
