Will plant turn purple?

Well i am going to startmy first plant in a week or two and since i am starting so late they wont be fully mature when they bud, but i herd somewhere if they grow in cold weather while budding that they will turn pruple? Is it true?

cooler temps can cause plants to turn purple, but not all mj plants.
