Will the DIY Cool Tube approach work for this? (pic)

I won an eBay auction for a refurbished 400w HPS with ballast. From the looks of it, it has a metal/aluminum box attached to where you screw in the bulb, which is in turn attached to a batwing reflector. In addition, I'm getting ready to win an auction on a Pyrex Bake-A-Round. Is it possible for me to accomplish the DIY Cool Tube method? Or will I have to just make an exhaust only duct for this?

Yea you can. I have the same setup and set one up with stuff I found at micheals, and home depot. glass from micheals, some big hose clamps to attatch to the glass then bent over the leftover metal strap after it was attached to glass and screwed it to the reflector. Found a pvc fitting that fit the glass and I used some adhesive calk to attach it to that then fit some vent tubing to the other end. Ive attached a picture that you can kinda see it in. If you want a better picture of it I can take one for you.

Dude, whats the name of the glass you found at Michaels? I was thinking to go there but I went to Home Depot looking for hurricane glass.

Yeah you can make a cooltube for it, only hard part is making the socket mount for inside the cooltube, and that wouldnt even be that hard.

Hey aktopjian, did you use Co2 on that cola you posted? And when you get a chance, you mind posting a better shot of your cool tube set up? I hate to be a pest, but I'm no electrician and want to make sure mines look similar to yours. My light is comming in tomorrow and I think Imma try the to find some glass from Michaels and save that bake-a-round for my second light set-up.
