Will these lights do?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone would know if these lights would do for a grow box that's about 3ft high by 1.5 wide, the inside will all be painted flat white or depending on money at the time Ill install Mylar sheets possibly 1 week after the planting of seeds.

I intend to use biobuzz soil as my medium of choice, as people have often said it's quite forgiving.

These are the lights, will they do for both veg and flowering stages as it says? Also if anyone has any seed recommendation for a first time grower of which strain to use, sensi seeds seems to be the site of choice so any of that would be great!

Also does anyone have any recommendations as to how many seeds/pots to plant first time round in this type of set up?

Yes that light will work fine, just remember with cfls you have to keep them close.

A plant on average will give you good growth with 100w per plant in veg and 2-3 times that in flower. You could easily veg 2 plants with that light and then get another one or a whole bunch of lil ones, in my opinion the smaller ones are better.

Does that mean that even know the light is Dual Spectrum id have to buy more lights when I'm flowering because it won't be enough by itself? Also what about Autoflowering seeds? Would this light be suitable to carry 2 Auto's through to the end?

Cheers!

Get Indica dom strains to grow since you are using CFL and a small space Sativia strains get larger and stretch more. I would also recommend adding some T5 side lighting. Grand Daddy Purps has been doing very well for me, stays short and is a heavy yielder. You want 6500k for veg and 2700-3000k for flower.

Can you please have a look at the light I linked too and see if thats suitable? If you dont want to click the link or the mobile version, just Google 300w cfl reflector amazon UK for yourself to see it, cheers. Also I was thinking of getting Autoflowering Northern Lights, I read nothing but good things, but I still need to know if that light is suitable for the set up lol, the inside will Infact have Mylar lining now as its not as expensive as I thought it was so take hat into account lol

I did look at the light in the link, yes it will work. I would do 2 of them up top and some T5 side lighting, surround the plants with light.

^^^ I hope you dont mean that light by its self cause not way. It will grow buds but they will be light and airy. You want heavy dense buds and that takes more light.

That's a shame, unfortunately I can't afford any t5's, so I'm going to buy 2 other 65W cfls, 1 6400k and 1 2700k. Do you think that would be enough?
If my buds are a bit on the light side that'd be okay, but Id like 3 oz of 2 plants, first grow and all that lol.

Think that's achievable?

It would work in flower to, and an auto would work just fine under it, you can use either 6500 in veg/flower and/or 2700 during veg/flower. Just isn't the best, but it will work.

IF you get 2 of the 300w CFL and the other smaller ones you should get about 1 oz per plant.

Isn't that a bit much? I mean, one of the post that made me decide on CFLS did 2 23w CFL's and got 46g of 2 tiny plants, - https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/399652-two-23w-cfls-43g-yield.html - So I don't really see why a 300W would do so poorly :/

Cheers man, if I switch out the dual spec, and just use one 300W pure red spec for flowering would that achieve better results on an Auto flowering Strain?
