Wilting Leaves / Yellow Tips

Here are my problems,
Plant 1:
-The 2 circularly rounded leaves (the first 2 that ever grow on a the plant), are turning .... or are yellow, and seem like they're getting dry / hard.
-The 2 main big leaves on the plant are wilting downwards.

Plant 2:
-The 2 circularly rounded leaves (the first 2 that ever grow on a the plant), are turning .... or are yellow, and seem like they're getting dry / hard.
-The 2 main big leaves are perky, staying up, not growing, seem kinda stuck, like they need to finish growing and unfold but they wont.
-The tips of the 2 big leaves are turning yellow / dry, can crack off, not too much though.

From what I know, this is either over or under watering. Can anyone point me to which one it is, because both could have happened, heh.
I try to water the plants every 2-4 days, and the first inch and a half of the soil is dry, then I water again.

I use 2 36W T5 12-14" inch bulbs for lighting, and its about 1-2 inches from the top of that plant, Is it possible for CFL's / T5's to burn plants?

I thought the problem was underwatering for a bit -- I could be wrong, so yesterday I poured lots of water in both of them, so it flowed out the bottom of the cups.

I hope that dosent make it worse :/ Any help is appreciated, also, how long does it take normally for over/under watered plants to fix / balance out, will the 2 leaves ever stop turning yellow or go back to green, fall off due to nature, etc...

Thanks

how old are they? those leaves dont make a shit mine have already fallen off. its ok. i dont know how old it is, but if its to big, transplant it into a bigger pot maybe thats why the growth has been stunted?

I been seeing the same thing. Those supply the plant with its nutes while it starts to grow. I was thinking maybe soil has no nutes and plant has run out?

It's a bit too early to give nutes to these 1 week old plants... but its a possibility, and I thought I would water them next time with some nutes in the solution, only 20-30% of the recommended value though

Let em grow.

They are too small to 'do' anything.
They don't look like they are dying, or in serious trouble.

Let the next set or two of leaves dictate how things are going.

A change now can kill 'em. They are little. Small changes are big to them.
Just pH'd water (I don't care if its RO or distilled or De-I, pH it! I never trust what the label says. pH can drift over time.) Also pH the run off after watering and *slowly* match them.

The plant thats stretched upwards is having serious issues now. On the second set of leaves, ( the small, new marijuana ones ), the tips turned brown. Starting to dry up more.

Could this be caused by heat? Its in a cardbord box, spray painted white, with 2 T5 bulbs sitting on top with no fans running thru it. Id estimate the temps to be 80-90ºF, Id also assume this can be a major problem, or no ?

Bad news... Since these plants are test ones before I grow my real ones ( Diesel Ryder ), I decided I would transplant them ( A very sloppy way I might add ). I cut the cups, and tryed to remove all the soil, so I could get just the plants and the roots. I did this because I learned the soil at the bottom of the cup... was almost like a brick, lol. But I did learn however, that even 1 week old plants, the roots go alllll the way down to the bottom of the cup.

The first plant, I lost alot of little roots, they snapped off at the bottom... so maybe I have half of the roots I did. This plant will die, yes ?

The second plant, I scavenged all of the roots, but this is the plant thats in the worst condition. Leaves are yellow, brown, brittle, etc...

I filled 2 new cups with Miracle Grow Moisture Control ( This is a very very nice, fluffy, soil it seems like ), and I also learned that soil has a lot to do with everything, hah, well first hand experience more like. Next time, don't use soil that will turn to brick, lol.

I then watered the plants with some distilled water, with very trace amounts of MG ( 29-9-15 ) ( I filled up half a gallon of water, and put 1/2 of 1/2 of a tble spoon, the correct amount, maybe a bit more. Then, to water these new transplants, I got a half a cup of distlled water, then filled the other half with the nutrient water to be safe.

Chances of Survival ( Ha, probably 10%, haha )?

They May Surp. U, They Can Be Frisky When They Wont, They Will Have Some Shock For Sure, We May Lose Them, But Realy Only Time Will Tell, Give Them The Best Conditions U Can For The Next Week, And Lots Of Tlc. A Little Chat. And They May Make It. Just My Thoughts, I Dont Lose Plants. Db.:)

Thanks for the advice!
Should I still continue to give them small amounts of nutes in their water? The soil has slow releasing nutes too from what I understand as well.

Also, next time with other plants, should I start them in pete or rockwool cubes, that way I dont have to cut a cup open and such ?

Looks like underwatering to me. Try giving them some water, and if they dont perk up, let it dry out and you should be back in business in a day or two.

hope this helps
