Just starting running it tonight and I think I like it. TOTALLY different than the Vista I was running. Was debating between 7 and 8 but chose 8. i'm IT retarded so what do the experts think?

i just got 7 and i love it...
anyone looking for a laptop check out lenovo outlet...
i got a Z570 with 8 gigs ram for $265 shipped...finely playing portal 2!

Looking for a laptop for my son as a matter of fact. Not sure on the 8 for phones thing. Had a homeless FB friend come over, have dinner, got some goodies, and hooked me up. Some MS Student/Tech website he belongs to.

but i saw something close not to long ago...(checked and it's dead now)
put a deal alert on slickdeals.net and play the waiting game..
now is the time for laptop deals...back to school,black friday,cyber monday

I think its shit! Would like to see it running on a tablet though as I'm sure that's where it will shine. Its total shit for what I need in a desktop os. What you all think of the metro crap?

I don't know man. That's a tough one. I don't remember ME running at 66% with memory leaks though... Fucking Vista...
I ran that shit for WAY too long before upgrading. When i finally upgraded I could've slapped myself for staying with Vista for so long.

Yeah, ME sucked too... I remember thinking "I should downgrade to '98"

I'm sure windows 8 will be really cool, but I'll probably stay with 7 for a few months until they fix all the unnecessary issues.

I second the shit-hole of vista.

Vista? Fricking worst OS ever. Love 7, doubt I will be interested in switching to 8 anytime soon. But I did say I hated 7 when I was a diehard XP user and loved 7 just days after install. So maybe.

As for 7 vs 8 there are no major performance gains. The end of the start menu wil be a shock for many. As of now most who have made the switch are still undecided as to if they like 8 better then 7. Not a great sign. But most will switch eventually just because.

Yeah, the lack of a start menu has me somewhat discombobulated right now but i'm learning to get by ;)

Win 7 = Best, Stable OS since NT or XP. I sure as shit won't be switching to W8 anytime soon. Period.
