Winter reading for Stoners?

I would love to read some books on the cannabis culture in the world. One of the topics I've always been interested in is the old hippy days in Afghanistan in the early 70's. It was alluded to in the popular book "The Kite Runner" and I've read some stories on it in past issues of High Times.

If anyone has any interesting books (not on growing or any how-to stuff) on the culture of pot or novels about the stuff that would be interesting reading for the cold winter nights ahead, I'd love to know some.

Yes. Very good book on the 60s-70s called Hippy. It's not completely about weed but has tons of info on everything hippy, from lsd to beatles interviews to acid to $20/pound weed

Not specifically about cannabis or cannabis culture, but two classics (in my opinion anyway) are The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, by Tom Wolfe, and Sometimes a Great Notion, by Ken Kesey.

If/when I can swing it I'm buying Marijuana Botany, by Robert Clark (I think that's the author).
