Wondering if I can get some advice

Hey everyone I'm a newbie here. Just planted my first and only plant. Was wondering if you can tell by the photo if its male or female or if its to early. Its approx 2 weeks old. Thanks for you help cheers.

Take a side picture mate, I need to see the nodes.

But at two weeks, I think it's a bit early to tell. Imo it's usually 4 weeks or so depending on the strain.

Are you growing reg, fem, auto or bagseed lad?

I agree it may be too early.. it's just reg I'm sure I appreciate the reply.. someone told me because the leaves look a little roundish it may be a male. Cheers

No, it hasn't showed sex just yet. Keep an eye for growth just above the node within the next week or two.

Tell sex by round leaves? Sounds like they're talking through their arse.
It hasn't even a set of true leaves yet, plus you can tell the genetics of the plant from the fingers - long & spaced = sativa dom
Fat = indica dom.

You'll not tell sex from the leaves lad, but keep an eye out within the next two weeks for a little growth between nodes (above a branch next to the stem).

Keep it up mate, you've a fine little plant growing there, brilliant work.

Remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question; every grower here will be happy to help.

What strain are you growing there or what's your set up, if you don't mind me asking?

Imo, ditch the tin foil. In can damage or burn your plant if it's touching it.

Its OG Kush I have it set up in a recycling bin enclosed with a cfl. I have it growing in my garage and plan to keep it in there for the duration.Adding more light and ventilation as it grows. I put foil in there from another recommondation from someone who says it helps reflect the light. ??? Dont want to put it outside or in the house so figure it's safest in the garage.

Nice, never thought of the inside of a bin before. I like the creativity mate.

Yeah, foil would be fine as long as it doesn't touch the plant - but Mylar is what you'd want. (It's the material inside grow tents) you could pick some up on eBay dirt cheap. But foil would do for the min.

It should be fine in your garage, although it could get chilly yet, assuming your in the UK or Ireland?

OG is beautiful, you'll not regret picking that strain.

On a side note mate - don't tell too many about your grow. The less that knows the better.

I'll def look into mylar. I live in Canada starting to get pretty warm here now. Next July 2018 we can grow up to 4 plants per household legally but to a max of 3 feet. I'll take it. Lol Trying to master the grow in the meantime. 1 plant would only be a fine here right now but a big inconvenience! Thanks your input much appreciated!

Congratulations on the legalisation my friend! I'm green with envy at you guys! Haha

Well, going by what I've seen your doing well at the growing so far.
I think you guys could plant outdoors around May 5th or so, if you'd want to try it.
Yeah I know what you mean about one plant, but you have to walk before you can run.

I started growing roughly eight years ago now, first grow I tried around twenty plants. I was greedy to be honest - long story short, they mostly died & could only harvest one.
So Suppose I kind of like that your focusing on one & building the experience first.
