mmkay. I scarfed a 400 watt Hydrofarm grow system with a conversion bulb. The Reflective hood says it can hold up to a 1000 watt bulb. So i wanted to kick up my flowering a notch and bouht a top of the line Hortilux 1000 watt HPS. I screwed the bulb in, fired up the ballast... and nothing. I would assume that i have an the wrong ballast, but i want to check and make sure. The ballast says:
"Relamp with 400 watt MH M59 type lamp" (it doesnt say only 400 watt...)
"for use only with RD, SG, Pro, GL, GLX series luminers"
ballast runs @ 120V 5A
The HPS i want to use says " use only with ballast for ANSI S52 lamps"
anyone know if i need a new ballast, because that would suck. If so, how much would the proper one cost me. Thanks for your help!![Joint :joint: :joint:](/styles/smilies/joint.gif)
