WW x BB Janky chinese led grows

Lol well here it goes leds are 1 180w (advertised) ufo from topledgrowlight.com, for vegetive growth, and a 450 watt (advertised) led from joyhydrogrow in shenzen china, soil same as my cfl grows mg moisture control, same nutes blah blah.

My new grow tent will be here tomorrow and my current bloom will be over on the 10th to 15th and by then my new clones will be moved to my tent for a full bloom under the 450w, i asked for the 450w be specified for flower only so its a little redder than most not as purple looking.

Ok so I havent gave this thread a 2nd glance forever, Sorry to leave any1 hangin I found a app on my phone i was on for awhile, urban grower, good comunity, unfotunatley a few bad seeds ruined it for me, however anywayz im back and gonna bring a dead thread back to LIFE! Lol so heres what im working on atm, my last grow was WW x BB under soley led (cheap china) 450w joyhydrogrow 1 apollo 6 from cidly, and a 180w ufo from lgled for bloom, if kushcommon comes back online ill post some pics I still have there anyway, 4 plants no taller than 18" harvested around 2 1/2 ounces dry, wasnt terrible considering i used mg moisture control, which i still use a 50/50 blend with organics now, atm in my flower tent im still waiting on my apollo 8 to arrive, but the 450w joyhydro and apollo 6 are in the tent and running 12/12 while my veg cab is the 180w lgled, anyway enough talk Ill post some pics, these were taken right after lights out, in the rear left corner is gigabad, and the crazy plant next to it is intensive skunk, .... Its a beast, absolutely ridiculous how many branches it pushes out, the rest are clones rooted and vegged for almost 2 weeks transplanted and thrown into flower, those are clones of both plants just to see how they fair right into 12/12. Im guessing the gigabud clones will be kinda bigger plants, as it seems kinda stretchy, total true watts not advertised in the bloom tent which 12/12 started 2 days ago is currently at 330 true watts and the apollo 8 is supposed to push 280 so we will call it 260 to be safe, so true wattage for the tent should be around 590-600, 3 gallon smart pots, here we go pics of lights and tent well i guess they are posting above my paragraph LOL!

Good god. Flowered under a joyhydro 450, apollo 6 and 180 ufo and only 2-1/2oz? We're you not pissed? I would have been. I'll pull that with 4 plants in solo cups just hanging out in extra space. Now don't take that personal, just surprised. But you might try something tried and true to perform better. Something as easy and larger yielding typically than normal and especially sub par soils. Though i had a buddy that always used mg soil and had good luck with it. That I personally watched before me. Online buddy on gk old head named somebud was getting massive colas and using all mg products. Crazy. I wouldn't do it but he was good at it. LOL But anyway might try a hempy bucket or some coco with either canna or an sensi coco nutes down the road. Either way hopefully you can get some better pulls down the road to make it more worth your time and expense. Are you using the same soil in the air pots or what are you using this time? What about nutes?

My soil this time around is still mg moisture control but its mixed 50/50 with a organic potting soil, yea 2 1/2 oz but i only grew my plants to 18" well 2 of 4 reached 18" the other 2 were maybe 14" thats after stretch not where they were flowered from, either way not a great harvest but enough to get me by, also it should be noted that this is my 1st go with smart pots, last time was 2.5 gallon buckets with holes drilled in the bottom, the soil had a really hard time drying out, hoping the smart pots fix that. Idk when i pulled the root balls out they looked skinny and half rotten, so i decided to try smart pots.

And as far as criticism dont worry about it, im a poor basterd n i know it LOL, I go cheap on everything, the 180w was $72, the apollo 6 was $127, the joyhydro 450w was $110, and the apollo 8 was $140, so its not like Ive dropped thousands on them, the tent was $75, mg soil = cheap as fk, this is my 1st try mixing soils before flowering, figured if i mix them the plants wont OD on nitrogen during flower like they have been. That and better root aeration will hopefully make a difference

I hear ya. And you can still get good with results in the end if done right. I don't grow larger plants either. My last round they were under two feet and yielded over 6 using 190w. If you find yourself having poor yields no matter what see if you could either build dyi or put about $400 aside for an onyx bloom. Lamp defintely performs. If me I'd then sale the joy and ufo. Probably keep the apollos around and end up using them as a shell for a diy when the go out. Ugh ugh. Hopefully the apollo 8 helps increase your yield a good amount next round. Fingers crossed for 8+. If not I'd be smashing stuff. Lol

Well im hoping for atleast 8+ this round, heres a pic of whole tents contents atm, all are under 12/12 as of a cpl days ago, the skunk is a massive plant for its height, but it was fimed and tied down for awhile where the gigabud wasnt all that responsive to training or defoliation, so ive just let her be.

Well it appears we can scratch the apollo 8 from this thread, ebay refunded my $ today, I opened a case after not receiving tracking info, and the guy saying it was shipped 2days after payment, marked it as shipped 5 days after payment, and 26 days later not having it in my hands I opened a case, the seller requested ebay make a decision, ebay decided to refund my loot after 10 whole minutes LOL! So after 28 days Im seriously doubting itll show up, so im bidding on a few others and we will see what gets added to the tent instead, currently just the apollo 6 and the joyhydro 450, sucks but shit happens i guess, just another reason to be leery of chinese led sellers I guess.

Reason I doubt ill see it is it was allegedly shipped "expedited itnl shipping" via fedex, ups, tnt, dhl or ems, ive had prior exp with these companies and its usually 10-12 days from china, longest has been 17. If I happen to receive it great, np, Ill resend the $ to the guy.

Ok so, since last time Ive changed one thing, Ive been using smart pots, and I noticed the roots growing out of the bottom, and yes I know they are supposed to, but I decided not to let them air prune but rather i put about 2 inches of soil underneath them, just plain organic soil, in the runoff tray thingy that came with the tent, heres a few pics with and without the LEDs, oh and its right around idk 7-10 days of 12/12 they are starting to pop pistils out all over.

Also I did order another LED estimated delivery july 2nd, cost $100, rest assured it will be cheap janky and chinese LOL!

1st pic is the new light red orange white blue, 9/3/2/2, on each modular cluster, 3w diodes apollo 4, its quiet as hell unlike my old apollo 6, anyway the next series after are how the plants are doing.

At latest day 31, of 45-50 for the intensive skunk, its lookin crazy good the node spacing on this plant is insanely close together just thought it was a good pic ....
