Yellow bottom leaves

Hi, Im new at this and the leaves at the bottom of my plants are yellowing and starting to fall off. I tried using more fertilizer and it didn't really help. It made the top of my plant look stronger but the bottom is still yellowing. Could this be because my pots are two small??:-(

yep sounds like your due for a pot up. how old is the plant, what size is the plant and what size pot?

its normal. the leafs that point downward near the bottom are called fan leafs and they are supposed to fall off if they point upwards then you might have something to worry about.....your good

all of the leaves coming off the main stem are fan leaves, if the plant is still in veg then its not that normal, all my plants at the mo have been vegged for 6wks and in flower for a week and no yellowing at the bottom fan leaves. that plant needs potting on.

Well true....... but the ones on the bottom typically dont branch off and they point downwards. maybe they need to be transplanted into a bigger pot but. I plant mine in 3 gallon and that shit always happens but I am not a expert londoner has posted alot more soo I am sure he is right

Thanks, I changed them to bigger pots, used some fertilizer and they are looking a little better and its only been 2 days. :weed:

just be carefull if your feeding when youve just potted up with fresh soil, dont know what soil your using but some can be quite heavily ferted and adding nutes too early before the plant has a chance to use the soils nute reserves first you can cause burning, better off waiting a week or two before adding more nutes.

I have been wondering what a really good soil mixture is. I just have some miricle grow potting soil with a little manuer and pearlight. Any suggestions?

The last time I grew I rushed it a little and know I did but either way the buds were very airy. How do people get thick buds?

HUH?

Its not normal for the leaves to fall off or get yellow, unless of course it is near harvest time, then you might see yellowing. If they point upwards that is not indicating a problem, pointing down indicates a problem(Wilting?).

The leaves are ok now. I think it was that as the plant was getting bigger the small leaves on the bottom died off. Now all the leaves look healthy with no signs of yellowing or wilting.
