My leaves have been yellowing for a couple weeks now. 12/12 started oct 1. I am using FF nutes I had alot of burn last grow so i have been worried to use to much. Here is what I have fed since I went to 12/12

week1-first 2 watering I used 1 tsp per gallon growbig and 1/4 tsp open sesame

week3- 2 TBS per gallon big bloom for 2 fedings

week 4- 1 feeding using 3/4 general feeding recomendations on bottles of tigerbloom and big bloom. i also used 3/4 beast bloom

I have watered in between as needed and I always use a bit of epson salts and a bit of cal+mag with every water or feed. I have let them go a day to long with out water twice they were a bit droopy.

I checked ph of runoff and looks okI am wondering if I have underfed or if i need to feed more or should I flush with sledge hammer or what? any advice is helpful. thanks

Another question is this would be the time for me to use the sledge hammer and would be the first time I have tried it during flower. Should I use it considering these problems?

Most leaf yellowing will be from N deficiency. I would add Pure water with a small dose of N and see if it gets any better. If you let your plants do a minor droop its okay. It actually is healthy for the plant when the roots can have exposure to the air. My plant outside is dropping fans pretty fast, but its a stank ass sativa thats got about a month left of flower. I burnt that plants mother up pretty bad so I kinda under fed it this time around. View attachment 2395155

That may be my next step. the last water I did water only and I did a heavy water.Does anyone think it would be better to do a flush then do a water with N? I Worry about that too because if they are starving for N and I flush them it seems like they would get worse. Unless i get any other advice i will just add some N with water next water.....saturday ?

Mmmm another blind leading the blind thread.... I would suggest looking at one of the other 10,000 posts on why leaves turn yellow during flowering... If you want to give a shot of N halfway through budding ... more power to you... if you like leafy and not nice smoking bud.... seriously a search on this would have shown you that this question gets posted at least 10 times a day...

I have to agree! in week 3 of flower the plants aren't looking for n. if my plants get off I mix a nute regimen at 1.3 ec and flush that until I get the same out of bottom of pot. Also I've seen this when too much Epsom salt is used. There is tons of info on this forum about deficiencies and plant probs so I'm sure they can go into more detail. I run advanced and when my plants start to yellow it's because I'm underfeeding so may want to do some more research and narrow it down some more

Plants require N, even during flowering; now with that said you should not be giving single feedings to try and cure the issue but giving light grow nutes throughout the first 3 weeks of flower cycle will keep your plants green and buds tight.

The OP is writing about plants on day 31 of flowering.... a simple math check will reveal that is almost into the 5th week of flowering.... with most strains topping out at 8 or 9 weeks (obviously later for sativa dominant) that leaves less than half of the flowering time... to each his own, but if I don't see some yellowing in my 5th week of flowering i start to worry about how much N I have been pumping into her.

It is frustrating how most people do not read about basic plant function, cannabis or not... Countless threads have been written about why leaves yellow during cloning as well... that is also a welcome sign for me, because I know the cutting is now a plant and is seeping nitrogen and other nutrients from the leaves. That is what is happening when you cut off N during flowering.. I use 0-13-14, and let my buds eat up all the residual N in the fan leaves... that is my personal preference... I do not think it is a good Idea to be telling people (newcomers/1st time growers) to start fucking with nutrients 3 or 4 weeks before harvest.... when there is nothing wrong with your girls in the first place....

Yes I understand the OP is nearing the fifth week of flower, I did not tell the OP to "to start fucking with nutrients 3 or 4 weeks before harvest...." what I said was if you continue to give light grow feedings throughout the first 3 weeks of flower you will ward of the premature yellowing.

I don't cut of Nitrogen completely until chop and have never had airy fluffy buds, during cloning I almost never see yellow leaves; my clones go from aerocloner to veg DWC and leaves never wilt or lose color.

Here is a shot at almost 6 weeks (around 40 days I think) and she still looks green and pretty and budding up nicely.

Those do look nice, Im still undecided to what action I will take. Today it is time to water. I have been reading tons and I get alot of contradicting answers haha.

one thing that may be helpful I didnt really think much of tell now. 1 plant the pot is shaded and gets was less light it hasnt dried out as much as others when I water I water just as much though. this plant shows signs of nute burn but is 99% green. its the same strain.

so weather it was right or wrong.....I did a light watering with sledgehammer@ 1 tsp per gal ahen a fairly heavy water. I am going to do 1/2 str feed next and I am thinking about a light foilar feed with some sort of N. Any thoughts on this?

I spray my budding plants every few days with plain water up to the last couple weeks when the buds start getting real heavy
