yield for room set up question

Hello,

I just ordered everything in which was needed to start my grow room. I am using a 8x4 grow tent with all the bells and whistles. Ventilation will not be a issue since I already have that set up. I plan on using either 2 1000w or 2 600w lights and around 12 to 14 plants in the tent. I ordered some female seeds (ak47) which will be growing with soil. Realistically speaking how much yield can I expect? I have done outdoor growing before and I know that there is a big difference when it comes to weight. Is 12 to 14 plants a good number for the space? Can I fit more?

Thanks!

2kg top with 2x2ks and a scrog net first grow maybes 1000g or so

your going to want at least 18 plants IMO if not training

veg length, pot size and canopy will reflect plant yield not plant numbers

in theory if you had 2 plants in 27g pots and vegged for 6 months and it covered the same floor space yield should be similar

plant number don't really matter there just a time saver

unless your growing autos

your not going to know until you see how much space they take up 5g will be plenty big enough for that veg period

you might struggle to root out a 5g in 5 weeks just fill it with 3-4g first than top dress if you have the veg time

I've done a grow in a 8x4 already with dual 1,000's. I vegged for 5 weeks is 5g pots. Bulbs make a big difference as well as soil and nute feeding. i yielded 3lbs on 5 fat 5 foot tall plants in my 8x4 with dual 1,000's. sunmaster cool deluxe metal halide bulbs and eye hortilux's both 1,000 watters. but my room was really jammed tight on those 5 plants had to low crawl around in there was so tight. as long as you have good soil and nutes (i used all fox farms and subcool's super soil), dual 1,000's, good ventilation, and you grow them 5 feet with good branch development you can expect 2 to 3 pounds. Good luck bro ;)

Jeez lol do you remember what strain that was lol ill post pics when it starts growing. Ordered some different types of seeds now so will deff have a variety for every day. Decided to go with the 2 1k lights instead just to make sure I get a good yield and hope my light bill wont shoot up the roof. Thank you all for the information.

It's not about how many plants. Squeezing more plants in a tent will not increase yeild. They block each other out if there are too many. I run 2 1000k lights in a 4x4 tent and run 10 plants in 5 gallons. I average 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 and I grow a variety of strains, some of them are not made just for weight. If you have a heavy strain that you knew 3lbs or so...

me id do 18 plants in 3-4g pots

yield is relative bearing in mind we try and aim for 1g per watt which is 4.4lb with 2k put obviously expect half that if your new

I will do 15 Max because I have a feeling they will be over crowded due to the strains in which I bought. I only done outdoor growing but I have done countless days and weeks of research. I just decided to do it now because I wanted to have everything lined up.

crowded will depend at what point you flip them mate its all relative
some SOG will do 1 plant per sqft and flower and veg for 1 week

i say 18 as its an even number of 3x6 rows so essential a 3x3 row under each 1000w obviously you could do more or less like 2x4 in massive pots or 4x8 in Sog style

plants are solar panels you aim is to squeeze every watt of light into a green surface

its just more plants save you on veg time
