Yield Question: less plants, veg for two months, or more plants, veg for one month

Hi,

I think I got a little ahead of myself! Question on yield

Grow is six plant;s three Barneys Farm Vanilla Kush, and three Barneys Farm Laughing Buddha. At the 30 day mark, I noticed that my 3x'3' tents was pretty much covered with growth. Figuring that they plants would double or more in size during flowering, I switched to 12/12. I was right in that they really filled out and now there are buds everywhere.
Here is my question.

From a yield perspective, is it "better" to let fewer plants veg longer, before switching to 12/12? I LST'd the daylights out of them. Canopy is only 12" high, but I am averaging 15+ bud sites per.

I am curious about what to expect if I grew four and let them veg longer.....

Thanks~

Well in theory yes vedg'in longer will give you a better yeild but you also have a lot of other stuff that affects yeild

if the rooms full of bud sites and the canopy is 12" high then plant count will not make any difference

think about a well trained single plant in a scrog set up in a 4ft x 4ft room, you should pull the same yield if there's 1 or 6 plants, it does not make any difference

Veg time and yield aren't linear..veg twice as long you won't have twice the yield. I personally think 12/12 from seed or at the very least once they hit maturity. I pull 2oz going 12/12 from seed. I personally like that better than vegging 2 months and doubling the yield.
