A1: I'm gonna say you will get about 8 grams out of that.

A2: Twenty plants in a 12x5 area sounds a bit crowded, but since you are doing some defoliating, I would think you can pull it off.

NOTE: I see you are using FFOF + Nutes. Be careful not to overfeed. FFOF is very rich soil, and is able to provide the plants with everything they need.

Are you serious?

The most you could hope for would be around 1600g dry.

I use a 400 and generally achieve a pound from it or there abouts.

Firstly you want a realistic target.

Even if you hit 1gpw you wouldn't achieve any more than roughly 4 pounds.

Most experienced growers are happy when they achieve 1gpw.

I ask again are you serious about 10lbs under 1600w of hps?

For each 1k light you should harvest around 1 pound so with your 1600w you should harvest around 1.5 pounds.

So theoretically they can thrive in that soil with just h20?

In order to achieve 10lbs you'd need around 10,000w of lighting.


So you'd need a lot more lighting than you do now.

A lot more ventation than you'd planned for your 1600w.

A lot more filtration and nutrients.

A lot more soil.


Maybe a small clue as to what you're doing would be advantageous too.

Sorry had to chime in here. Most semi experienced growers will get around .70 grams per watt. Not one. I have been growing for 3 years. I have been able to achieve the 1 gram per watt with only high yielding strains. You will never achieve your goal indoors with the lights you have. Clone, clone, clone and stick outside. Sorry I know its not what you wanted to hear. The first people that responded are poking you.

Thx for the reply,I just started batch of cones. ok so what I already guessed was confirmed on this thread about weight. so to achieve roughly 4 pounds weekly or biweekly perpetual growing, how often should I cut clones behind each batch? I just cut a batch of 30 clones 3 days ago how long should I wait to cut more clones. And how often? To meet at least 8 pounds a month. setup ideas and suggestions to achieve that would be appreciated along with additional equipment I might need

8 pounds a month will mean you'll need a flowering room that's capable of running 8kw of lighting.

Then you'll also need a second flower room with around 8kw of lighting.

Then you'll need a mother/ veg area that's around 4kw to veg effectively all the clone you'll need.

I would run. 6-8x 4ft plants under each flowering 1kw.

Flower area 1 would be weeks 1-4 of flowering.

Flower area 2 would be weeks 5-9 of flowering.


This once running should see you with about 8pounds every 4-5 weeks.

But really with a venture this big you're going to need to drop about $15k into it for it to perform.

Then there's the cost of an AC unit big enough to cool everything.

Co2 burners.

Lighting system fans and standalone filters/fans to help fight smells.

Then there's the electrical installation to consider for running all this power.

Then there is the cost of running the rooms and paying your bills on time.

Keep your moms very healthy. Seperated with lots of supplemental and metal halide light. Only pick the best of what you have. Biggest fan leaves, shorter stature, dankest smell. Put them in a 4x4 tent. with a 1000 watt metal halide, I like digital ballasts. keep your temps a little cooler then usual. 65 - 70. If dirt based, follow subcools super soil. put them in big containers, and feed them fish emulsion. every other feeding. Doing this will help prevent deficiencies. To get 20 reasonable cuttings per plant you will have to top, and train. Again there are articles for it on the site. This is a great site for beginners, but you are setting you sights very high, and will have problems. But make sure you sex them first.

Like the post above you need some investment if indoors. I would go outside. you can achieve 3/4 pound a plant outside. but security is a definite issue. Again read the forums.

Ok than what would serve me best Grow Wise with the setup I have already if what I'm doing now isn't best. I understand my goals are high but I can gage better through thorough information. Should I switch something up

I think you need a realistic number as far as yield is concerned.

With a 1600w setup you should aim for anything between 800-1000g dry. Any more and its a bonus.

Look to optimise your existing area to perform well.

Try different training methods (mainlining is good) to see what works best for your strains.

I politely disagree. My last gig(1997) was Haze x Big Bud with 2 x 1000 HPS lamps, room was around 5 x10 the first run I had 48 plants and yielded 4 1/4 lbs. My last run I only put down 24 plants and yielded almost 4 1/2 lbs. And I always thought I could get more if I had the experience, was very new to this at the time. It can be done. I should add it was a Hydro grow.

Should I switch something up

i have a 2.4x.1.2x.2m tent with 5 plants in flower and 12 plants in veg, every morning at 11am I take the 5 out the tent and at 11pm I put them back in the tent, now... when they are out of the tent (sleeping time) light leaks through the zippers on the tent, when I put my hand in front of my face while standing near the plants, I cant see it (just to get an idea of how dark it is) and also the light doesn't appear to be reflecting off the plants but I am extremely paranoid about any of my bitches turning hermi on me.

If yield is your biggest concern, quit growing 10 strains at the same time.

Pick 1 and grow that.

Even canopy management is the key to high yields.

LOL, going to have to take my word on that, cell phones in 97 didn't have cams and I wasn't going to drop a roll of grow pics at the local Photomat.:blsmoke: Seriously tho, I have never taken pics of a grow.
