hello. this is perfect timing for u. i just got some as well. There is a learning curve with these things. the learning curve is that these things need a counter weight. go to my thread in my signature. go to the last page. u can see how i did mine. u have to have some counter weight. i took a half a brick and set it on top of my reflector. once u add weight the reflector will stay right where u want it. good luck. if u still cant get them to work just let me know and i will try to help!!

yea man i just got some too, and i ended up just sitting a 4x6 speaker on top of my hood, worked out good wince the magnet sticks to the metal hood.

it seem like they were put together the opposite way, when u tighten the nut it keeps line from coming out instead of going in. i think if u could reverse them inside the plastic, they would work the way they need to.

good luck though man, i only paid like 11 bucks shipped for mine on amazon, so i guess i shouldnt have got my hopes up for 11 bucks haha

mmmmm... well i got mine from htg and it also has a wing nut on the back. it dosent lock the string though/ u can tighten that nut all u want but if there is no weight on the reflector its gonna zip right back up! having the brick there doesnt bother me a bit though. those hi-lo hangers are grate and have really come in handy!
