Your Thought on Vaporizers?

Ive been browsing through the boards a little bit and was surprised to see no one was really talking about vaporizers. Granted, the name of the site is Roll it up, but i think alot of you dudes are missing out from the great world of vaporizing

I havent officially made the switch yet, but ive really eliminated how much i actually smoke and have been vaporizing instead. The feeling you get isnt in your body so much as your head. Its all cerebral and you feel it in your eyes. Its pretty interesting. Lets not forget the TASTE!! Its very nice, especially with better grade herb. Ive had successes using a couple of different vaporizers, and was just wondering, who else gets down?

I vaporize quite often with a glass bulb. The vaporizer tastes much better and is much easier on my lungs.

It actually isn't a lightbulb, because those can taste funny sometimes. I had the owner of a local headshop hand blow me a pyrex bulb for flame driven vaporizing. Pyrex is very heat resistant, that is why I had him use that. It is basically a lightbulb looking thing with a cap. The cap has a glass stem that goes into the bulb (to suck the vapor out with).

The best way to use it is to hold the bulb (with a bowls worth of ground bud in it) over a flame for 7 seconds, then shake it for a few seconds, then hold it back over the flame for 7 seconds, shake it, repeat. After 2 or 3 reps the bulb is full of vapor... then hit it. It tastes great and it is the best method I've found for portable vaporizing. If you don't let the flame actually touch the glass there is no soot or anything deposited onto the glass.

When I don't vaporize I just hit the pipe or roll a joint. I haven't intentionally compared the two very much (burning in a pipe/joint and vaporizing in the bulb). One of these days I'm going to measure equal amounts of bud and do the vaporizer and the pipe on consecutive days to compare the high. I suspect the pipe gets me more high. However, my "vaporizer" is not as efficient and many commercial varieties. But I love the thing regardless.

I can also choose to ditch the bud in the vape after just a couple hits and reload with fresh if I'm very particular about my lungs and really want the fresh taste that day. If you think the first hit off a bowl in a pipe tastes good, try the first hit off a vaporizer... you can't beat it.

I really want a vape but ive heard the only ones that are good are like 600$ so ive never wanted to throw that much money down. I've been quite tempted to just pick up a $90 one at my headshop but i dont want to be let down.

i smoked some pepper tasting beasters out of my vape the other day and before i did i acidently had the ti[p where you suck laying in a bowl of curry man that was the worst t asting vape bowl i ever smoked lol

me and like 4 other people i know all have the 200 buck vape boox with a tibe to suck from it works really good not as good as the 600 dollar volcano but i couldnt bring myself to spend that on a smoking device the vape boxes work great though

if good vapes didn't start at 200+ I'd get one but I got other things to buy... the cost of a vape can buy hella lighting..

my problem is I buy more lighting and new strains.. ya see where I'm getting at its like new weed or vape and well I got plenty of bongs so I'm fine

in another thread...fdd made a post about his version of the volcano for 200 bucks. he bought the valve kit with the bag and stuff for an actual volcano, and then bought a heat gun. theres a thread...and a youtube video...https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/76962-200-volcano.html

yes I know about that, I'm looking at a vape thats 50$ more and seems to be good.
