wrapping up fan

Hi, everyone. Just wondering what to do about soundproofing a fan. I see lots of people make boxes for them but does anyone ever have heating issues with a fan running 24/7, wrapped in a blanket and stuffed in a box? This idea makes me a bit nervous, as in fire hazard nervous. Am I not...
