Led grow issues

Growing in a hydroponic bucket with a 300w led. Growing the purple cheese auto and some of my leaves look like they are being burned with a magnifier glass or something. Anyone ever experienced this? I back my light up so far i hope it works

If this is an led light then you want it within a inch or 2 of tops of plants as should be no heat from the led diodes. Yodazherb must be referring to hid lights as 16-18 inches is way to far for leds since they have very poor penetration and that would be a waste. What is the ph of your water and are you misting them at all for any reason?

I don't think you would want to put leds that close to the tops. Can get some serious light bleaching. Lol

Sounds like you don't have an led. If you have to keep an led that close, they are probably junk. There are a few units that are more intense than any hid's and need to be hung just as high. Even average led's need to be hung 18"ish.

I have 3 Blackstar 180's in a 2X3 closet and anything closer than 12 inches pisses my gals off.
I have 2 in flowering right now and I have to raise them every two days.
I hang CFL's and UVB's in between the two so penetration isn't a issue.
Keep the canopy as level as possible with LST and its all good !

This does not sound like a LED problem but a nutrient problem. If by 'being burned with a magnifier glass or something' your referring to small necrotic spots on the leaves.

I havn't seen LEDs burn in spots, heat singes edges and LEDs bleach.

My novice advice, flush your system.

Sorry for late reply. I backed my light up and it worked so far. I plucked the lower leafs that were burnt and she is fine now and as far as pics I can't figure out how to post them.
