Finding those first seeds

I have ordered from the big name sites, lost about $100 in the process and received nothing. At this point I dont trust the whole "stealth shipping" nonsense So I'm wondering how people found their first seeds to start? I have read stories on this site about people accidentaly polinating a bunch of bud in guerilla grows or even indoors.... where do all those seeds go? There is so much bud in the states its hard to believe i have to fly thousands of miles or even cross state lines to find a few seeds of whatever strain to start.

The way i see it, the more people growing the more likely it is to become acceptable more generally, so we should all be trying to get as many grows started as possible.

Would anyone here want to help a newbie get started?

i would suggest to find a dealer in your area that sells shit weed. like the fucking worst shit you have ever smoked. More likely than not shitty weed will always contain seeds in it. Don't be scared to grow seeds from shit weed though if you treat the plant right your bud will be 100x better than the bud you got it from. I got my first seeds from herbies seed co. I always use the super stealth option and have gotten my seeds every time i have ordered.

I live in the states and have mail ordered seeds from UK and Amsterdam area for more than 10 years and never had a bad transaction. Do some research on various mj message boards here and other places and you'll be able to identify some companies that can be trusted. No need to travel anywhere.

and update.... now that colorado is legal for recreational, has that changed getting seeds?

Like above, I ordered my first seeds from Herbies, got in about 4 days. And to also echo above, buy some shit weed, plant the seeds.

As far as rec legal in CO. That in no way changes federal laws about buying, having, planting seeds and it will definitely not change the laws in your state. I'm sure you'll be able to purchase seeds in CO, under state law, but it's still a federal crime and you'll be breaking the law of your state(if not legal) if you bring them home. Other than making it easier to buy them in CO, I can't see any changes

Gordo here, I'm using bagseed from street weed. I chop any male plants, growing seedless females. It is a pretty nice smoke. Good Luck.
