Hi guys you have all helped out alot already I've started to grow got through germination and planted she has started to grow but her leaves have stayed small and is already working on her next lot and she is only a cm tall??? The other problem is I've started with a 45w cfl and have another lined up ready to go and a 200w ready for later stages but how close should they be 2 my plant? People say if it doesn't feel hot then it's ok? I set my light to where it wasn't 2 hot and I've come home today and my baby has lost colour and looks kinda burnt :S

Is it Hydro or Soil/Compost? 1cm?? how old(days I Take it)

What kinda Grow Environment are you working with...

Peace

PICS maybe??

If you have the CFL 2-3" from the top of Ladies it might be TOO much to begin with(Yes 2-3" is the Norm) but I think better to let BABIES get used to the Light(Lumens) & Heat a little before you have your CFL at OPTIMUM Distance...just my op

Peace..

Cheers for the reply fella I'm growing her in coco, I read to give it a 1/4 strength nut water 5 days in as coco has no nutrients that was 3 days ago now I'm growing in a cupboard under my sink its not a massive space but big enough for a small grow, I have 2 fans going using mineral water, she was full of colour and now bang she looks like she is dying ill get some pics up asap hope she lives through this!

Yh man it's a dual filiment one 6400k and 2700k. Right guys I have some pics for you guys hopefuly you could shed some light on what's happening?? She has continued to grow so seems she hasn't given up! Would you guys say it was work scrapping and starting again? And what do you think of my set up? It's not much I know but worth a go?

Have you checked your PH or water? Depending on your coco source(how cleanly it was processed or washed), you may have too much salts built up, especially if you are using mineral water. Try using R/O water and gradually add in cal/mag as the plant gets older.

One of the most common newbie mistakes. Stop giving them nutes! It doesn't matter that coco is inert, the plants do not need nutes at this stage. In coco I would generally not give any mutes until sbout 4 inches or so, not 1cm. It does not need mutes at this stage!

Back off the nutes man seeds/seedlings dont need any....they should recover fine then I would say throw every light you described at them..........hempy pot?

Ok thank s guys mistake learnt no nutes guess that's where I went wrong I thought mineral water was all alright :S ok ill check the hp levels out what about the set up from what you can see is the light ok with height from the plant? Yh it is a hench pot but she will out grow it hopefuly! And when you say through ever light at it what now already? And how close don't want to burn it!

Seedling appears to have no stretch at all.....you could raise it but I don't think that's what burnt the leaves........personally I have had plants grow into a t12 lol 6500k....I mean plant touching bulb....not suggesting you do that with that bulb though.

Mineral water? eloborate.

My best tip for anyone who might be iffy on their water is to use the machines at the grocery store....wally world ect.....the one I use is carbon filtered, uv treated, RO filtered then carbon filtered again....water from the machine is always zero ppm and 7.0-6.5 PH.

Sweet ill put the lights back to where it was :) would you say it was safe to put both 45w cfl at the same time already seeing as they are so small . FFS!! I felt like a noob now I feel fricKen STUPID mineral water is totally different 2 distilled no fricken wonder what an idiot!! No worries dude mineral water is basically natural water that is hardly purified not as bad as tap water but no where near clean enough!! Would you suggest taking her out the soil she is in and 're-planting to get her out of the water i've been using or will it just flush through?

IDK its just coco right? Move the light up a few inches see what happens can't really hurt man I havent done a cfl in a while, if it stretches, lower it but if everything goes well and it recovers, which I think it will you're going to have some very light hungry true leaf sets...I already see them....its do or die time now I would just feed straight water and let her feed on any residual.....I mean she's not DEAD right? So it will prolly pull through.

If you move the light up too much and it stretches no biggie read this....https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/429767-replant-those-long-stretchy-stems.html

....to get an idea of what we mean by stretching....

Read everything here too that suggestion about your coco from RaiseTheLights is good info....only experience I have with coco is canna coco and its pre washed, no salt.

I am telling you that once that plant recovers and starts taking off it will take all the cfl you can throw at it....the 200 and both the 45's.......
