I popped an ak48 a few weeks back and she'll be the next candidate for my cupboard.

As i mentioned earlier in this thread, i popped a feminized ak48 seed for my 3rd run, thought i'd share a pic of her, she got flipped yesterday.
Decided to try a scrog on this one to see how it goes

Hey, what r u using for a light? I see its HPS, but r u runnin 1000w? 600w?

It's only a small cupboard so a 400w would be plenty but i'm using a 600w in a cool tube that has been bolted to a batwing reflector, it gives off lots of light and i can still control temps

Thanks mate, i appreciate the love

I gave her a bit of a hair cut under the canopy to keep the air flow going and stop the popcorn from robbing the nutes from the main colas

Also i'm leaving the mh bulb in for the first week or two of flowering as i read its supposed to reduce stretch and keep the nodes tighter but as this is my 1st run of ak48 i have nothing to compare it against so we'll just wait and see how she looks

Thanks, i was holding her back until i cropped the 2 in this thread as i only have a small space for flowering so she was topped a few times to keep her small, total time from seed to starting 12/12 was just over 11 weeks

No they were light bleached tops and i still haven't smoked one of those yet

I had a 3 or 4 tops between the 2 plants that the leaves went very dry and crispy around a third of the way down and it was those that had the mould, i think you just have to be very vigilant with that strain as it does grow thick dense colas.

I put the net on 27/12 and flipped her a week later on 2/1

Dude, you just get it. Period lol. Like I still struggle and REALLY NEED this forum or would be clueless. Every pic you show is fucking great dude. I envy the ease it seems you have honeslty. Good frickin job again man! That thing looks GREAT.
Question, when did you top? how many nodes did you keep? And did you just let it do its own thing and gro thru it or were you bending branches all over to get an even spread?

Oh and if you make a new journal for that post a link in this one and I'll follow Of course

My secret is to give them what they need and then leave them alone to do what they do best lol

I see my plants for about 20 mins every morning and thats it, feed them, check temps/humidity, light height, bugs etc then lock the door and walk away until tomorrow. I've never had a single bug yet but if i do get them i'll be straight on here looking for help

I also top and bend where ever i feel it looks right, i don't go for specific nodes or measurments of growth. If i topped it today and 2 days later i see a branch growing from low down i will just take that off too if i don't think it will produce much.

I guess i'm just very lucky
