Super tight regulation, Cancer, m.s. etc and starting out at only 20 hospitals all over the state. Report says Cuomo is going to push it Wednesday in the state of the State address. A step forward atleast for those that really do need it. I know a couple people that could and will use it. I hope my buddy is ready, he always said he would step up for the cause with supply.

...the governor is relying on a provision in the public health law known as the Antonio G. Olivieri Controlled Substance Therapeutic Research Program. It allows for the use of controlled substances for “cancer patients, glaucoma patients, and patients afflicted with other diseases as such diseases are approved by the commissioner.”

Mr. Olivieri was a New York City councilman and state assemblyman who died in 1980 at age 39. Suffering from a brain tumor, he used marijuana to overcome some of the discomfort of chemotherapy, and until his death lobbied for state legislation to legalize its medical use.
The provision, while unfamiliar to most people, had been hiding in plain sight since 1980.

It's how they prescribed Marinol in NY. We always traded ganja for the little purple and orange pills to a patient that wanted the herb. It's tough, tough to get in NY but a couple people I have known had a script. Now they will dispense the greenery.

I've also found scholarly articles regarding what many in our community have known all along. The CB1 and CB2 receptors activate and help lesson opiate withdrawl. Just enough to take a little off but the science in that regards is getting there as well. It's how my pops got off the pain meds, he was smart enough to recognize he could have a problem on his hands very soon and smoked a shit ton of Ganja to help him stay off 'em.

There's a state senator in Manhattan that is pushing for out right legalization. She put it on the docket last month. She knew it wouldn't garner any traction but it still has to start somewhere.

are they going to allow people to grow their own medicine? for some reason i heard they were going to dispense it at hospitols only (like methadone LOL) making it realy just a joke of a medical mj law.
if that is realy how it will be New York will once again prove they are the very worst state to live in. poor gun laws, everyone on wellfair and food stamps, the worst liberal thinking idiots running the show and real citizens with jobs can not afford to pay the taxes in the state, businesses are flocking out of New york quicker than they can run.
certainly they will manage to mess medical ganja up as well.
