depends on the manufacturer and the brass. apples to apples i'd take the 556 cause you can't get it in ny anywhere right now. well, at least southern ny. assault rifles are legal but no one is selling them cause of the "moratorium". guys bought out all the ammo.

no gun store will sell an ar-15 but you can get stripped lowers through a lot of smaller ffl's.

I'd personally have the 223, I sold my .06 awhile ago, so I've no use for them.

--About ammo prices changing, here they stay fairly constant, minus .22 shells, people with their damned ARs have driven up the prices here, $50 for 100 rounds. Talk about buh buh bullshit, makes me not even want to plink squirrels off anymore. Which is a damned shame considering squirrel is quite tasty.

I love squirrel too but cant shoot a rifle where im at so I bought a nice scoped pellet gun. With a fire range of 1200 fps it does a number on squirrel, rabbit and with a good shot will put down larger pests like trash eating coons. Best part is a box of hollow point pellets cost 8 bucks for 500.

Funny. I did a search on it. The only other mention I saw was some guy who did the same error. I would enjoy shooting one of those.

Lot of history there. What do you do to modify it? Something to correct the rough machining?

haha, the superdomes. we use those for pigeons down here. bought some hypermax ones that are great on iguanas. 0.22's. I like the overkill as well.

I don't do anything to modify, I haven't touched one in years ... I'm a multiple violent convicted felon. Possession would cost me about 20 years.

What can be done is making sure the barrel is straight (laser barrel bore checking,) removal of the iron sights and replacing them with a good scope, bi-pod is a nice addition, as is a shorter barrel with just a cunt hair's worth of padding. Basically, just simple modernization. Sporterizing ...

They ARE fun, though. And, if you get to know your rifle properly, they are very accurate, and a nice powerful firearm.

I got an ar I wanna sell.... no foid card needed... just bring 1600 its not has fun to shoot the smaller 5.56 then the 7.62s the scar h busts

here im michgian I can get 556 or 223. or my fav 762 rounds more cheap then the 22 long. I seen 1000 rounds of 762 with a ammo can 100 bucks I bought every last one they had , fucking .22 longs are stupid. 150 dollars for 500

I'm good, I have 2 already. I use them for property protection and I like their modular designs and lighter weight. One of them has a .308 barrel. I also have a Mossberg Flex 590 and 2 Remington 700's .308 and Lepua.

Not enough info, but I`ll give you a "general" idea by the most popular rounds. (new)

Remington, 180gr. 30-06 Core Lokt, pointed/soft point, Lead core Boxer Primed Brass, ...Great hunting/target round, clean and very reliable. $1.25 +/- per round.

Wolf, 55gr. 223, Full Metal Jacket, Lead core, Boxer Primed Brass,...Dirty manufacturing, somewhat reliable. $.50 +/- per round.


Fairly even trade if new and not re-loads.
