Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

Hey everybody!

My sister has been battling with something called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. She was normal one day then suddenly she can't eat or else she vomits.

She used to be a very active, playful mother...now she can't even take care of herself let alone her children.

The main things are her vomiting and no eating from vomiting. She has been on a TPM bag of some sorts for nutrients.

I've looked in CBD tincture but I do not have high CBD strain. Also thinking making a tincture with QWISO or something but she doesn't want to get high.

Any ideas on something I can make with fresh trim or bud to help her?

That's awful to hear. I didn't think you'd get all that high from a high cbd concentration but if she can't keep anything down I'd say the best way to administer the medicine would be a lollipop. She'd be able too closely monitor the dosage (3 Licks good 5 licks and I'm stoned off my ass lol) and not have to consume or swallow any infused food or tinctures that she'd most likey bring back up. Good luck and I hope she overcomes this terrible condition. Oh and If you need a recipe for lollipops I could send you a link.

Thanks. She has tried every medication including marinol which I know it shit. So you're saying don't extract just CBD but make lollipops?

I like the idea. Would you mind sending the link?

Feeling bad to know about your sister's condition. Talk to a marijuana doctor about her condition, he/she may help you. Proper dose is very important. Marijuana's effects in pain relief, control of nausea and vomiting, and appetite stimulation is well researched.
I feel it so knew here they going to just tell her the samething I already know. No dispensaries open yet so I'd use my own trim and bud to help her.

She has multiple specialists from Mass General who haven't brought it up so I am...

In my mind it can't hurt to try.

Very interesting and informative. So it seems edibles is the way to go in this case and it was purified THC not extracted CBD.

So I guess still whats the best delivery...lollipop, tincture/extract or cannabutter?

Again she doesn't want the paranoid, couch lock side effect.
I think vaporizer would work best.
Many people cant eat it because its processed through the liver , if a person has a fatty liver or any other issue like that i wouldnt.
A vaporizer allows you to extract the medication without burning , its also much easier to control the amount so she doesnt have a bad experience her first time, this could work for her so honestly i would start there.
I like this one,http://www.aroma-tek.com/Vapir-NO2-Portable-Digital-Heater_p_19.html
Iits sturdy works well is rechargeable or just leave it plugged in. I know other get better reviews but this one i know for sure works, even got it soaked by a huge wave in the ocean and it still works.

I really hope this works for her because i also have someone im trying to help, i will report back with my results as well. All the best brother

My son has had CVS for 15 years. In an out of ER continually. He uses marajuana in the morning, but has found the federol patches to at least regulate him. At one point he was using too much marajuana and it actually caused him to get sick and leek fluid from his breasts. It is a horrible illness and very debilitating yet we can't even get him on disability. Good luck.

Sorry to hear. How does your on take the marijuana? What are federol patches? Is he only taking marijuana?

i've read that marinol can cause kidney failure, FYI. Have you checked out the high CBD concentrates made from industrial hemp? They have no THC and thus, no psychoactive affect.

there are two companies that i know of, dixie botanicals dixiebotanicals.com
and cibidex http://cibidexdrops.com/

both products are taken sublingually, so they shouldn't cause her to have more nausea.

Great option. The highest quality on Cibidex is pretty pricey. There is also Bluebird Botanicals.

They all seem to use industrial hemp that is processed in other countries...but are they really getting that much CBD with hemp paste?

There are people who swear by it though.

I'm looking for something to make from my crop and trim.

Thanks!
