Also, I have a very sensitive nose. Those people smell awful even on tv. One or two of the girls look ok but one would need a big tub of hot water, lots of soap and a brush.

I'm not down with killing whales, don't get it twisted, I just don't like the way the savers on that show go about things..
I even heard the owner of that katamaran (sp?) they used in a few episodes is suing the crew for purposely sinking his multi million dollar boat in order to make the show look good and better their cause..

i guess as long as they eat what they catch i can't complain. it sucks though that the fish stocks are being depleted. those japanese do eat some pretty bizzare shit. sharks fin soup. yuk.

I knew about this from the show Whale Wars before thst but the signs always said "SCIENTIFIC RESESRCH" on the Japan ships as they run over the bodies covering it from the cameras. I was just wondering if they honor endangered species or if it's just "if it taste good, eat it ftw" and is it legal under Japan and UN laws?

Time for this guy to cowboy up! Now you boys listen here Im American born, American raised and proud of it! now most of us americans arnt bad ppl dont get me wrong like he said are dumb look dumber than anyone else's dumb but its our leaders are the real bad and stupid ones, but yeah whales are an endangered species as far as im aware none of the whaling japan does is considered commercial fishing they play under some research loop hole that the UN has been trying to break, but yeah take it from someone who works in actual agriculture not weed growing (which in some forms id still consider farming) but steep shit is impossible to farm it has so many more things to go wrong then flat land, chemical/rain runoff, not being able to get tillars,sprayers,combines etc up the hills means harvesting by hand meaning 100000x more work and help needed at this point youd ave better luck going out harpooning a whale best bang for ya buck

That's funny , if that was true they would have found what they were looking for by now !
It's fact they do it for food , for oils and fat , and so on...
There is plenty of other fish in the sea !

Then you have the shark fleets that kill hundreds of sharks just for a couple of fins for soup
They cut the fins off while they are still alive and throw the whole shark(minus fins) straight back into the water bleeding to death.
WTF ?
I don't know about you but most shark tastes nice cooked up . What a big waste of food out of our oceans .

Why don't they stop researching / killing whales and just eat all the shark meat they waste !!!
Problem solved , Whales saved , No one goes hungary ...

Throw out the sperm , eat the meat , sell the skin ,or if ya crazy eat the sperm aswell , use the eyes as a toboggan
You could make money from selling the meat as food aswell
Sounds like a good buisness plan to me !!!
