Hi guys! i finally registerd for this site and just wanted to share my grow and gain more knowledge as far as indoor grows go. any information or comments anyone has please feel free to post and i appreciate any tips anyone has. this is my first indoor grow so bear with any questions that may seem retarted. i have done tons and tons of reading thus far so i do know good deal of stuff but i still feel like a noob when it comes to some stuff so ill just share what i have going on at the moment.

here are 2 pics of my biggest girls: they are green crack bag seeeds and im on day 22 of veg right now. transplanted from quart cups 2 days ago and topped both yesterdsy. these were started in rockwool cubes, then put into quart cup hempys then transplanted to 5gal hempys. i am using a 3/8 hole about 2.5" up and the rez is filled with chunky perlite and the rest is 100% coco. they are under a 600w MH 24/7 at about 24" and temps stay between 65-75 degrees and rh stays between 45-60% in the room. im using flora series 3 part nutes with tap water adding 2.5ml of calimagic per gallon and ph is about 6-6.5. feeding twice a day once with no run off and the second time with about 20% runoff. currently everything seems to be going pretty well. i had a little leaf edge curling up issue early on wich seems to be due to heat stress cuz i had the light too close before i had the fans installed.

some of my main concerns since i have never used coco or hempys before is: does my feeding schedule seem to be ok or am i over feeding? do they seem to be healthy at the moment? im new to the whole checking ppms and all that good stuff so any help on that would be great. thanks in advance for any help!!

They look good. Don't worry about nodes at day 22, you look to be doing just fine. Don't stretch them by putting the light further away. You end up with lanky plants that can't hold their own weight.

Good Luck and Happy Growing!

Yeah I didn't think that would be a good idea either. All the bottom branches are shooting out like crazy. The single fan branches are on their 3rd node already.

Green crack is part OG kush? well if so you may want to top her a couple times and then pinch her stems for a couple weeks after flipping to 12/12

I'm not sure what strains it comes from. If you make suggestions could you at least explain why? I like to learn as much as possible and just telling me what to do doesn't really help me to understand why lol

Hey guys I was wondering what a good general rule I thumb is as to how long to leave my other girls in their 1 quart hempy cups? For these two that I already transplanted I waited till a good bit of the roots were in the bottom of the Rez. I've read a lot of conflicting info when it comes to potting up so just trying to clear things up. Thanks

Ahh shit never mind my "Not as many nodes" comment. Haha. They are a little ahead time wise of my current grow and are doing fine. I transplanted my babies, at 2 weeks old from seeds, from 16oz party cups to 2 gallon pots, I think, a few days ago and took a video on how I transplant but my fucking tablet never recorded the video.. weird as shit. I transplant 4 hours before lights off as this is optimal. Add some water to moisten the soil then squeeze the cup all around to compact the soil then place you hand in a "V" and go under the first set of true leaf's, flip the cup over and slap the bottom of the cup a few times to knock the root mass and soil out then plop it into a pot filled with soil and I use a 16 oz party cup placed in the middle for a pre made hole for the transplant. Some people like to transplant in increments up size's. I don't. I did this and it worked wonders for me. My grandmother taught me a lot of tips and tricks when I was young (sadly she never grew cannabis) and I am simply just following what she said but with cannabis. Some also break up the root mass a bit before transplanting into bigger pots but this run I didn't. Not sure if that will improve or degrade anything.

IMG_20140109_190104.jpg <-- Where you want your finger UNDER the first set of true leafs. This baby is too young to transplant as the root mass isn't were I like it to be.
olQ192r.jpg <-- This is prime from transplanting as the roots are grown out more. They are on their 3'rd set of true leafs, if this helps on when I transplant.

Hope you can understand what I am trying to say :P

I've already transplanted a few I know what to do lol, I was just looking for opinions as to when to go from the quart cups to my 5 gallon pots. I think I transplanted at 19 days and the root mass was pretty crazy.

When the roots are like in the pic above and are coming out the bottom.

Heres a little update on the grow. today is day number 28 and ill probably be letting these girls veg for another week before i throw them in the flower room. Lmk what you guys think!!! right now theres 8 branches and the 2 tops just started growing finally. lots of undergrowth going on right now tho.
