hellooo,
new to the forum and have a trix question for you experienced growars. I say trick bc nobody ever answer me with solid DO THIS. I am wondering first with foliar sprays is it best to spray hour or 2 before you turn off HID or no matter? Also with Dutchmaster Reverse in particular (hermaphrodite reverse) when does you be sprayin the first round and if using...WILL DECREASE YEILD? Makes sense that bud production would be slowed even though using reverse. ANY THOUGHTS WILL BE APPRECIATED AS ALWAYS

no trick to it...2 hours before lights out is fine, I think the plant absorbs everything it can use in 10 min...

I spray REVERSE in weeks 1, 2, 3, of flowering...DM suggests just 2 sprayings, I like to be sure...use the penetrator, it does help...no decrease in yield or potency, that I could tell...

I have but stopped
It is my first official grow but I had a burning problem right after I used it that went away after I stopped.
Were my plants to young?
Did I over do it with the amount I used?
I have no idea.
I do still use it in the reservoir.
It says on the bottle that it works well as a foliar spray

I tend to not like foilar sprays at all for growing MJ.

But This reverse is essential I think to almost all gardens.

It does not affect yeild according to some friends that reccomend it to myself, and I am currently starting a grow and it will be the first time I use this product.

I know what I have produced in the past so in two.5 months I can post whether it affects taste or yeild.

i really dont like foilar sprays...not sure for her reason, but for me......woooh...talk about humidity increases

Just trying it out for the first time myself, I have a hard time believing the shit does what it says it does, but I've gotten good reviews from people who have used it. Cheap enough for me to try it out and see what happens (or hopefully doesn't happen in this case!)

I sprayed tonight an hour or so before the lights went on which is about 18 days into flower. I would have liked to have done it a little closer to ten, but I'll give them their next dose on day 28. Heard it works wonders if you use it early on, don't specifically need to do it on the 10th day like some say?

Please do post what happens. I went to my hydro store and asked the guy if he carried it and he looked at me like I was from another planet. "Nobody's ever asked me for it" he says. Weird, because he usually knows his shit. If the Reverse really does what it says I would figure everyone would use it. I especially want it because I grew plants from seed and a bunch hermied but it is turning out to be really nice buds from the few true females I got. I have clones from those females but I want the Reverse just to be sure.

ok well its been a long time since i started this thread and ppls respond now months later. It just so happens I have used the penetrator and reverse on my last crop due to some hermies.

Yields are affected due to the week or 2 it will take for the plant to "reverse". If you suspect one of your mothers to be hookin you up with hermies...you should get a new mom.

don't expect miracles, but good to have just in case some balls develop last second.

1st application when you throw the switch to 12/12
2nd application 10 days later?

It will work on male parts after they hermi but thats not how it was designed to work.
Its more of a prevention foliar than a treatment one.
I bet the yield loss was due to whatever stress the plant had to make it go hermi.
Unless the mom hermied it was probably something else that made them turn.
Heat, and other stresses are most likely the culprit.
I have some now that I got for next grow.
Luckily did not need to try it out this time lol
I will post here (might be another long while) once I do and see what happens.
If it does ward off hermies when you use it as directed that will be awesome.
but how would you know anyway lol...if it was the Reverse or the excellent stress free care you gave your girls?

It is intended as a Prevention treatment.

However its applications is also as a pollen knockdown if they have already formed.

Its original use is to create seedless water melons and other seedless varieties.

Used strictly as a prevention, you should see no difference in yeild.

Would simply throw out a mother I thought she was going to hermie, that's not my issue. I just sprayed all fifty five females I going now in order of hopes they don't herm. I sprayed in the 14th day of flower, and will shower them again at day 24. Hopefully will work out fine, I know it's supposed to be closer to day 10 than 14, but I think it will work just fine. Have had some buddies speak the world of this shit so I'm giving her a chance.

Heres the directions as printed by the manufacturer:

Dutch Master
You’ve heard the rumors……… A foliar spray that can stop hermaphrodites from producing male flowers. Well it’s true! Experience for yourself what “those in the know” have been talking about. REVERSE is a ready to use (no dilution required) foliar spray that quickly and efficiently eliminates a grower’s worst nightmare…. awful seed problems! Fix it simply and quickly with REVERSE’S unique formulation of specialty amino acids and proteins.
Using REVERSE is easy and effortless. Simply follow these easy guidelines!

1. Pour the amount of REVERSE you need into a spray bottle. Typically 500mls is enough for one application for the average sized garden.
2. Add PENETRATOR at the rate of 10ml per litre only! A 500ml/ ½ quart spray bottle will require 5ml/1 teaspoon of PENETRATOR and a 250ml/ ¼ quart spray bottle will require only 2.5ml/ ½ teaspoon of PENETRATOR.
3. Shake the spray bottle with the solution to make sure it is well mixed.
4. ** Important you must spray the solution within 15 minutes of adding PENETRATOR**!
5. Make sure your lights are a minimum of 24 inches from the tops of your plants then spray your plants until the leaves are evenly coated with the spray solution and a small runoff occurs. You only need to spray the top surface of the leaf because PENETRATOR will deliver absolutely everything inside the leaf using the top surface only.
6. Spray your plants once, then once again 10 days later making sure you spray any male flowers you see.

So it seems they are promoting it as both a preventative and intervention product.

yes I did follow the instructions on the back.

there was no heat stress during the winter grow.

right when u switch 12/12 and 10 days later....and then 10 days later again bc some nodes were missed.

It successfully eliminated pollen sacks, however you really need to drench your plant or you may risk missing a sack or 2 like me.

This was the cause for my decrease in yield;however there were at least 2 plants that were not withered/pollenated and their yield was only somewhat decreased.

Covering your plants with this stuff did not seem to affect the taste or smell of the buds. I suggest the use of a dehumidifier after your soak session.

I used the Dutch Master Reverse last harvest and I think it made a difference in the size of pollen sacs and their development. I didn't notice any reduction in yield. This time I sprayed and I am being diligent to push off any pollen sacs I see.

my reduction in yield could have been due to the system I was using at the time as well. This system was not capable of being chilled so the roots struggled at times.

I got to the point where it would send a chill down my spine every time I saw those fk'ing bananas poking out of a node.

I'm growing outdoors, considering the utility of indoors (but I need to be able to finance that). In any event, littlebat's been asking about this stuff, so I'm posting so I can subscribe. Also, I have two sets of seeds that I expect to see a more pronounced occurrences of hermaphrodism with, so, who knows, I may decide that if I breed these plants I'll need something like this.
